Tiny Paws Rescue is a volunteer foster-based, small-breed dog rescue dedicated to rescue and placement of small dogs into loving, permanent homes throughout Phila, Bucks, Chester, Montgomery & Delaware counties in PA as well as Central & Southern NJ

Countless small dogs in the region are left homeless every year through no fault of their own. Many are dumped at ACCT Philly (Animal Care and Contr

ol Team of Philadelphia) and other public shelters where they are at high risk of euthanasia due to overpopulation. Others are surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. Tiny Paws Rescue is committed to helping the neediest, as well as the readily adoptable, among our area’s most vulnerable creatures. Dogs in our care receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, including spay or neuter, and are placed in nurturing foster homes while they await adoption and placement in the loving, responsible, forever homes they deserve. Tiny Paws Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue run entirely by dedicated volunteers and does not receive any public funding. We rely entirely on fundraising support and donations from private individuals and local companies/organizations who believe in our mission.

ADOPT VERSACE!!

Versace’s a 2yo 13lb Yorkie mix. He’s dog, cat and kid friendly. He sometimes needs space and time to warm up to other dogs. He’s housebroken when kept on a schedule and crate trained. He’s good with a secured fenced in yard and working on harness leashed walks. He likes playing with toys, cuddling with his people.

Versace’s foster requires a home where he gets tons of attention, toys and cuddle time along with people who will give leadership, consistency, structure and to continue working on training. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far.

Versace as all dogs should have at least 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first.

Versace is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Currently in Morrisville, PA. If your home meets the needed requirements and you’re interested in applying to adopt please do so at www.tprescue.org

ADOPT BELLA!!

Bella’s a 4.5yo 5lb Yorkie mix. She’s dog and kid friendly. She’s house, p*e pad and crate trained. She’s good with a secure fenced in yard along with going for harness leashed walks. She’s playful, active, affectionate and loves her people.

UPDATE: Yes, Sunshine has been returned due to no fault of his own. He is very cuddly when he wants to be which seems to have given people the false impression that they can do things that his foster had informed them about and what was needed for him.

To explain some of what Sunshine requires and to help people to understand his foster said: I had no interaction with him unless I went into the kitchen. I went so slowly. It took him a good 2-3 weeks and there are things I still do on his terms. He does things really well with treats involved so if I want him off of somewhere (ex: Sofa, bed, chair) or in somewhere (crate or a room), I just use training treats. I don’t hand feed him. I throw the treats where I want him to go.

ADOPT SUNSHINE!!

Sunshine’s a 1.5yo 15lb Terrier mix. He’s dog, cat and kid friendly. He’s housebroken when kept on a schedule and crate trained. He’d be good in a secure fenced in yard and/or going on harness leashed walks. He loves to suckle on a stuffed animal or blanket. He needs some time to warm up with new people, but once he does warm up, he’s a sweet cuddle bug who will roll over for belly rubs. He’s young so can get burst of energy but also low key and chills.

Sunshine’s foster requires a home that gives him space and time to get to know them and the new environment, let him come to them at his own pace and make sure he has tons of stuffed toys to suckle on along with another playful dog 20lbs or larger. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far.

Over the weekend, our sweet girl Chloe had difficulty breathing and was admitted to the ICU at Blue Pearl. She spent 4 days on oxygen support. She has an enlarged heart and collapsing trachea which added to her respiratory distress. While there she was also diagnosed with interstitial lung disease coupled with pulmonary hypertension. Through all of this, she continued to be “herself”, eager for attention, meals, and even playing with her toys. The staff at Blue Pearl fell in love with her… just as everyone who meets her does! This was a very unexpected and very costly medical expense we certainly did not plan for.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!
Please consider making a donation towards Chloe’s staggering bill which has now crippled us financially. We cannot continue helping dogs with medical issues without your continued support.
