Tonight, my heart is broken and wounded. Tonight my body aches in despair. Tonight my whole world has changed. Tonight I said both goodnight and goodbye to my boy, my hero, my buddy, my friend, my love, my angel, and my beloved companion. Nixon, I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to you, how could I ever be ready? You were so much more to me than anyone could ever know or understand. You will always be in my heart and my mind, you were the most wonderful gift I had ever been blessed with. Thank you for all the love, laughter, fun, and comfort you gave me in your short life. Your heart was bigger than life itself, and you touched so many lives with your love and gentle spirit. Your whole purpose seemed to be to show love to everyone you met, and that is all you wanted. You put everyone else before yourself. A heart so full of love, but also a heart that we never expected would be the cause of your early departure from our time together. I will never stop missing you. Please stay near, and find rest, I will always love you. You have left a permanent mark on my heart, and I am forever grateful to have known you. Farewell my friend. Rest in peace. Your journey in this world is complete.
I will forever miss your cuddles, love, and kisses.

I can not shop at Costco anymore.

Earlier today I was at Costco to buy a monstrously large bag of dog food for my three dogs.

I was in the check-out line when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog. Seriously??!? What did she think I had, an elephant?!?

So because I like to liven things up and have a little fun, on a quick impulse I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, but that I was actually starting a dog food diet again. I briefly paused, with a thoughtful stare towards the ceiling, and then added that I probably shouldn't, because I ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd actually lost almost 23kg (50lbs) before I woke up in the Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms.

I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that it’s so easy… you just load your pockets with dog kibble and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry.

The food is nutritionally complete so it works very well and that’s why I was going to try it again. (I should mention that almost everyone in line was listening intently and clearly they were enthralled with my story.

Horrified, the woman asked if I ended up in the hospital because the dog food had poisoned me. But I quickly I told her no, and said that I stopped to p*e on a fire hydrant and a car hit me!

I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack he was laughing so hard.

So, now, Costco won't let me shop there anymore because they think I’m either crazy or that I’m misleading their customers into buying dog food.

Inseparable. These three handsome boys are sooooo connected mentally and emotionally, they surround themselves and each other with so much love, it's amazing. I am truly blessed. Walker, Nixon, and Diesel.
