Nedjem ("Sweet One" or "Sweetie") is the first cat (that we know) who had a name. The cat of Puimre, second priest of Amun during the reign of Queen Hatshepsut (1500 BCE) is depicted on a damaged relief from Puimre's tomb.

A cat of a different color? We recently rescued more than 20 cats (all related) and we are just amazed how many different colors they have. This family even has the rare chocolate coat!
