Another round with the dremel. Every day. The more these things become routine the easier your dog handles it. Nail maintenance is important!

Imagine walking on toenails so long it pushes your toes up. Which pulls on tendons and ligaments all the way up your legs!

Nails should be done regularly, weekly for some dogs who’s nails grow fast (looking at you Dachshunds), sometimes every two weeks for slower growing nails.

Is it a hassle? Yeah, if you look at it that way. To me it’s a requirement that is in my basic care routine.

I owe it to my dog to do the things they cannot do for themselves.

I tossed some treats into the dog bath for Stormy to find herself. I want to make the bath a nice place for her to be. Same with a crate, cot, dog bed, etc.

Stormy let me help her up there and after she was done eating, I helped her down. No nail trim, just some cookies. Making good associations with the places that sometimes involve things dogs don’t enjoy can help even it out.

Good morning from Stormy! I let her sleep in the bed with us last night and we all slept like a baby! All the way to 5 am! 😂

She was ready to party then. I took her out to potty and she was able to settle back down for about an hour but that’s as long as she could muster.

So…coffee is on and Stormy & Finn are snuffling for kibbles in the grass.
