Some important background information on the WDA-AUS logo to consider, when taking part in this survey vote.
2024 marked the 10th anniversary of WDA-AUS. The 2023-24 WDA-AUS management committee felt that while the original logo had served the National Association well in those 10 years, it was time to refresh the associations look to better reflect the sport and the acronym WDA-AUS. Many times the national logo had been confused with some of the State Association logos & the acronym was being written & used incorrectly.
Therefore, a new logo was designed that included a horse & rider silhouette on a path. The path represents the journey that the horse & rider are on together (it is not a trail riding path). The font was modernised & the official colours of the national association (gold, silver & black) were incorporated into the new design.
The logo has been in use for more than a year after being launched at the 2nd biennial National Show held in August 2024. It has now been in use for more than a year & is included on correspondence, social media marketing, the rulebook, the EquiDirectory dressage diagrams book, sashes, ribbons, rosettes, jackets, vests, caps, table covers, sponsor prizes, award prizes (photos-embroidery-engravings-certificates) and much more.
Of note: Other contemporary equestrian organizations have a national logo, with state logos following suit for logo consistency and brand identification ( EA is one example).
