Have you ever seen a 60-pound dog with tiny ears, the face of an angel, and the energy of a retired but still very opinionated grandpa? No? Well, allow us to introduce you to Walton Mackie — a 10-year-young legend whose vibe is equal parts silver fox and absolute goofball.
Honestly, he looks so good for his age our vet thought he was scamming us. (He might be. We haven’t ruled it out.)
After a life of being an outdoor dog, Mackie is fully embracing the finer things: plush toys, memory foam beds, belly rubs on demand, and sleeping like a king in his foster home. He’s living with two dogs and a kid right now and doing great — but let’s be real, he says puppy energy is for the whipper snappers. Older, chill dogs and respectful kids, please and thank you.

He’s been everywhere from busy city streets to quiet farms and handled it all like a true gentleman. The only thing he’s not a fan of? Being ignored when he’s sitting up like a meerkat with his paws politely on your leg, requesting attention with those eyes. Resistance is futile.
