Hello Snake Friends: We are very sad to announce our large python, Levvy, peacefully passed away on December 26th, 2024.
Just like any pet, Levvy was a member of our family: one who we miss dearly.
However she was anything but ordinary. Leviathan was adopted as a young juvenile. Knowing her size potential, Will handled her often, raising her to be a very friendly & social snake. Levvy grew to be 13ft long and weighed over 40 lbs. Until she was 10 ft long she loved to join our summer "walks" around town with our dog... an odd site for sure! And while some people rushed to judge her, most were curious & excited to meet her!
Levvy met many folks around Hastings, but she really became a star when Jessica Brock asked us to bring our snakes to the Edgerton Center Children's Museum. Levvy was a big hit with everyone! So much so that it inspired us to take it to the next level. She went on to appear at birthday parties, fundraisers, fairs, schools, and thanks to Melissa Cowling she even helped a local girl scout troope earn their reptile badge!
Unfortunately Covid brought all of this to a halt. She reappeared in public again at the Buffalo County Fair in July of 2022, & then for the last time at the Lochland Country Club that Halloween. She spent her last couple years in a quiet "retirement", though people often asked when she would return to doing public appearances.
We will not be continuing this account or any related requests for appearances with our other snakes.
Thank you so much to everybody who supported us: Levvy met THOUSANDS of people throughout her life!
We are proud to say she fulfilled her mission to change the hearts & minds of as many folks as possible about snakes🩷
We hope you remember her as the big, beautiful, and gentle snake we all loved.
