I was apart of CGADs back when I was with DWW .. and had a tour of their current facility had the operation they ran.. at the time the idea of a newer bigger facility was in its infancy ... Many business are on the brink as donations are down for everyone.. The Lions Dog Guides have so many counting on them to come through for many many vulnerable people... if you can help please please condsier helping this organization keep their doors open.. ♥️

It's been 10 years since I left Dogs with Wings and I cry every time this memory pops.up... I wasn't allowed to join the dogs that graduated that year.. that privilege was taken from me so this was my way of closure .. my heart is still big for these dogs that are either have retired or now are long gone.. but i still carry those cherished memories of my time there.

Today it a very special day for some 4 legged friends as they graduate and officially get their wings and fly... So here is my thoughts for them today..

Hey guys... As todays festivities begin I just want to you to know that you are all in my thoughts and forever in my heart... Your journey is only beginning as you spend your next days making those magical moments but remember these 3 simple things..

1) Be watchful.. Although having fun is very distracting.. you have an important job to do.. Bring laughter to your person, bring confidence, bring friendship and bring attentiveness .. Even from a distance you can watch your person grow.. Watch how you change their world.. Watch how the doors hat were once closed are now wide open.. Guide them through this new place and watch them take flight..
2) Teach... Teach everyone around you that there is no difference... teach people that you are there to simply bring people to together.. teach your person that there are only barriers if you put them there; trying and having faith will get you through it together.. teach trust, teach independence.. and mostly teach companionship..
Lastly 3) Have quiet time... take those naps in the grass.. let the sunshine bring warmth and rejuvenation... stretch and relax.. let the wind blow and smell the air.. these small moments will keep you young at heart and refresh your soul... We dont stay young forever so taking these quiet moments and just being able to just breathe and be will set you free at the end of lifes journey...

So today as people come together to share your silly stories and moments i just wanted to to say thank you.. Thank you for allowing me to take a small part in your journey.. To enjoy your ray of sunshine and warm glow.. To have played and had quiet moments of reflection.. to be there when I needed someone to talk too and for just being you.. My journey has ended but yours will continue and for that reason I will set you and myself free..

Go get your Angel wings.. and set others who have been trapped in their world be free the best way you know how.. Be you!!

I wonder if I should go back start doing training videos again.. 🤔 I have some willing and unwilling subjects here... lol like Nero.. ❤️ just because you maybe older you still can learn alot...
