Friends of Clayton County Animal Control Dogs (FOCCAC) is a completely volunteer based networking page created to promote URGENT LIST (K*LL LISTED) dogs of Clayton County Animal Control (CCAC) in Georgia. We work closely with the advocat

e team Partners For Pets, a 501c3 non profit organization, to network CCAC dogs to help them find adopters or rescues. All donations are TAX DEDUCTIBLE with funds raised going toward RESCUE EXPENCES such as vetting, boarding and transport. The animals we share are currently held at TWO locations. Adoption Center

CCAC is a government funded K*LL SHELTER under the direct leadership of Captain Jodi Turnipseed. We are NOT on site and have no influence or control over decisions regarding adoption, rescue, or euthanization. These decisions are STRICTLY those of the CCAC administration.

URGENT LIST FOR SPACE - CLAYTON COUNTY ANIMAL CONTROL, JONESBORO, GA. These precious dogs MUST have commitment by 4 pm on Friday April 18 or face being euthanized for space. CLAYTON COUNTY Animal Control is a KILL shelter under the CLAYTON COUNTY Police Department and direct leadership of Captain Kevin Hughes and Captain Nicholas Gailey. All decisions are made by the shelter on which dogs are euthanized (like those last Sat). You are their only hope of getting out of the shelter. We are an advocate group that tries to raise funds so rescues can pull the dogs and vet them, however, we are not a rescue and don't pull dogs or make any decisions. That is strictly the shelter. Donations are tax deductible and any funds received for a dog that is adopted, reclaimed or euthanized goes toward helping other Clayton Urgent dogs. The shelter has been packed due to so many dogs coming in. Fundrazr links are posted below and in each individual Fundrazr. CLAYTON COUNTY Animal Control under the CLAYTON COUNTY Police Department is a KILL shelter and under the direct leadership of Captain Kevin Hughes and Captain Nicholas Gailey. The shelter desperately needs space. All decisions regarding which dogs are euthanized are made by the shelter. We are an advocate group that tries to raise funds to help with vetting so rescues will be able to pull dogs, however, we are not a rescue and do not pull dogs or work for the county. (Please note if you are interested in adopting any of the dogs on the list that are rescue only, we can put you in contact with rescues who would help you). UPDATE; A huge thank you to all the people who worked so hard to get these dogs out this week as their smiling faces and wagging tails were so happy to get a freedom ride. To the rescues who stepped up to help, the networkers who post and devote so many hours to sharing, transporters who get them from AC to vets and or boarding and to our generous donors. Without this wonderful team it would not happen. Again on behalf of all these amazing precious dogs you are very appreciated and thank you.
