Tonka was at Pupper Hutt for his hydrotherapy session today. A positive session today, Tonka showed great form and good movement for Katy today. He was very good focussed, a hallmark of our family, and while it was a big session, Tonka did not come out of it as tired as his last session. Mum made sure there was a steady supply of treatos today, which seemed to make the session bearable for Tonka today. ❤️❤️❤️

Pepper needed to go to the vet yesterday, her least favourite place in the world. Angela S. did her usual best to make Pepper feel calm and relaxed, and after it was all over the steaky goodness from Hardy St butchers was all she needed to put the bad memories behind her..

Today Tonka had hydrotherapy with Katy at Pupper Hutt.. fortuitouslyfor Tonka, it was Pupper Hutt’s 2nd birthday today, so he got a donut treato after his session.. then he decided he wasn’t ready to leave Katy as he might get a second one.. he was tired and napped on and off for the rest of the afternoon.

Tonka hasn’t been feeling the best since Friday, an upset tummy meant he was in and out all day long needing to go toilet in a none too pretty manner, Mum and Dad got probiotics on Saturday and thought they would get a head start on getting Tonka back to feeling better.
That plan didn’t quite work out and his unwellness persisted. So today he went to visit Angela at Central Hutt Vet Clinic. It’s fair to say his appointment DID NOT go the way Tonka thought it would, Angela was thorough in her check up and Tonka was checked over from front to back. Right to the back.. good temp, a**l glands all ok, heart rate good, and when it came to blood tests, well Dad, two vets and a nurse were required to ensure a good sample was taken. Initially Angela tried his forearm, then it was suggested that Tonka’s jugular may be a good try, but with his spinal stiffness he made sure no one was getting in there and put up a clearly defiant struggle, in the end his rear leg provided ample to be tested (which all came back good). Then came the antibiotics and finally Tonka got some treatos cos he really was a good boy, and all the staff really love him.
He came home and promptly slept the day away like a seasoned pro.

Tonka had his regular physiotherapy appointment with Juli this week.. everything started out well until Mr Wrigglesalot decided he wanted to be somewhere else. Juli finished her therapy and let Tonka think he had a victory in escaping.. but Juli just let him go..

Saturday was beach day, Dad is getting the hang of things again, we love being on the sand, chilling in the water, socialising in a way that suits us, and getting the treatos from Dad on demand.. we miss our Keisha on days like this, we know she loved all of us being at the beach, she is with us because we’re thinking of her always.. ❤️❤️❤️
