I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude. Because of your kindness, we’ve raised $1,300 toward our $5,000 goal — and that means the world to us. Truly.

But I’ll be honest… we’re still struggling.

I have dogs in boarding with nowhere else to go. Vet bills that keep piling up. And more requests for help than I have the funds to answer. It’s heartbreaking to turn away a dog just because I don’t have the resources.

That’s why this fundraiser is so important. Every single dollar goes directly toward giving these dogs a safe place to land — a warm bed, a full belly, and the medical care they so desperately need.

Meet Katie 🌸 5-6 years old | Chihuahua/Pug Mix | Colorado

Katie’s journey hasn’t been easy, but she’s ready for a fresh start and a forever family.

She was lovingly surrendered by her previous owners family, after he fell ill with dementia. When Katie first arrived, she was heartbreakingly thin and unsure of the world around her. With patience, love, and care, she’s blossomed into a gentle soul who enjoys slow walks, soft blankets, and quiet companionship.

Katie is still a little shy when meeting new people, but once she warms up, she becomes your loyal little shadow. She’s got the perfect mix of independence and sweetness, and she would thrive in a calm home where she can feel safe, loved, and never have to start over again.

She’s healthy and up to date on her vaccines — now all she’s missing is you. 🩷

❤️ I can’t thank you enough for the support you’ve shown Woof & Willow over the past few days. What started as a dream, turned into a reality and none of it would be possible without you.

Every dog deserves a chance, no matter how difficult the start of their life may have been. Together, we can keep saving the lives of the unwanted, the neglected, abused, and the ones that have never known love.

Become a hero today! Rescue is a community effort; it truly takes a village to change the life of even one animal.

I'll be honest, this past weekend was a tough one. I had moments of doubt and felt like I lost all hope. Donations and adoptions have been slow, if nonexistent, while intake requests are at an all-time high.

Whenever I feel like giving up, like taking my life back, I remember where the animals I rescued are now, compared to where they once were. Freya and her siblings from last Fall, for example, were 1-week-old puppies found in a ditch under a trailer in Texas, covered in fleas and half alive. The whole litter is now happy, healthy, and in the best possible homes. Then there are dogs like Talia and Maeve, or Rambo or Iris. Dogs that others saw as too injured to save or too aggressive, or whatever it might have been. Now, there they are, they have completed families and brought life back into homes.

I always remind myself that it's not just dogs that are being rescued, but people too.

🐾 I’m doing everything I can to keep them safe.

But I need help.

There are two incredible dogs that have been in a boarding facility for months because I haven’t been able to find them fosters or adopters. They are safe, cared for, and loved — but the bills are adding up fast.

Rescue isn’t always perfect. It’s messy, it’s expensive, and sometimes I am left making impossible choices. But I will always choose life.

Right now, I owe over $5,000 in boarding costs. I am desperate to find these dogs a home and pay down the debt I took on to protect them.

If you’ve ever loved a dog — please help.

Katie is a local, Colorado owner surrender a few weeks ago, at first, she was extremely shy and hesitant around new people. Thanks to our incredible fosters, Katie has blossomed! Katie is around 4-5 years old, a Chi mix, about 15lbs, and would love a home on the quieter side.

We do not know how Katie is around cats, she is dog selective as well.
