Mossburn Community Farm was originally set up in 1990 and now cares for a wide range of misused, abused, unwanted and neglected animals as well as offering spaces where possible to animals whose owners can no longer look after them. We currently have around 100 animals including horses, cattle, sheep, pigs, goats, rabbits, guinea pigs, poultry and more! Our animals are as free range as we can allo
w them to be so we provide a great peaceful environment where visitors can get up close to the animals. As well as the animal side of things, Mossburn provides support for young people and adults with additional needs (physical, emotional, behavioural and mental) via our Animal Assisted Therapy programme, offering work experience placements, our weekly Mossburn Experience Group (where individuals with additional needs gain life skills and help to care for the animals), and more.
