I have been, even before yesterday, terrified at the thought of what was to happen in Ukraine, what is now happening. Just the idea of what I could do in that situation to keep my rather large furry family safe seemed an impossible task. We are lucky, faraway from all that awfulness. But we should try to help, if we can. Please spare a little for these people that are staying put to take care of their animals! 💛💙
Yesterday, February 24, the whole of Ukraine woke up to the sound of sirens and explosions. Yesterday we woke up in a completely different world. A world full of pain and anxiety. Full of anxiety for our loved ones, our citizens and our animals, for whom we once took responsibility.
We are a team of volunteers from Ukraine that specializes in saving wild animals. Our shelters are located in the Dnipro and Odessa. Explosions and shelling were heard in both cities yesterday. Fighting is currently taking place in the Odesa region, and our army is doing everything possible and impossible to defend our borders.
We don't know what will happen tomorrow. We have no certainty whether we will wake up tomorrow from a gun torn near the house. All our savings are now going to food and medical supplies for animals.
We do our best to provide them with everything they need. But without your help, we will not succeed. We need to collect at least $3000❗ to be able to replenish food, food and medicines for 14 foxes, 11 polar foxes, wolves, raccoons and other animals. To get through.
Ukraine is our home. We have nowhere to run. We have no one to leave more than 40 animals. We do not have the opportunity to evacuate them.
That's why we stay. We stay with those who can't take care of themselves. With those who look us in the eye and do not understand why something nearby is thundering loudly.
We are next to them. Now we need you to be with us more than ever.
Any help is important now.
