Boston based jewelry designer and artist, Belle Hornblower of bellepepper boston, manipulates sterling silver, 14kt gold-filled, and antiqued brass wire to create structured pieces adorned with rough and naturally imperfect precious and semi-precious stones, Czech glass, and vintage components. In her work she is fascinated by the contrast created when ordered design is combined with natural beaut

Her handmade pieces are lightweight yet substantial and easy to wear. in Art History at Boston University and went on to complete a Post-Baccalaureate course of study with a focus on jewelry making, illustration, and graphic design at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. While at the SMFA Belle taught experienced beading techniques and special project classes at the Boston Bead Company and enjoyed helping many students expand their creative knowledge of jewelry making. Belle lives in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston with her husband, 1 year old daughter, chocolate lab, and black house cat.
