Our Story

It all began with a rescue dog who couldn't stop farting and whose health was transformed by fresh, meals cooked like you would at home.

Our co-founders Kev & Dave started Butternut Box in 2016 because they believe that all dogs deserve to live healthier, happier and longer lives. They found it hard to know what exactly they were feeding their dogs, and couldn’t find a convenient, healthy alternative to commercial dog food.

At Butternut Box we only use the freshest, natural ingredients and never add any fillers, artificial flavourings, preservatives or colours. We believe that natural, gently cooked food is the key to our furry friends living their best lives, and we want to make it easy for pet parents to feed fresh.

Giving back is at the heart of everything we do, and that's why for every pup that signs up we donate a meal to a sheltered dog.
