Titan and Sammy
To say dogs are your best friend would be an understatement on all accounts. These two were not only brothers but each others best friends as well as our best friends. They both had their own personalities. Titan being the dominant, happy go lucky, energetic, licking you all the time bulldozer always demanding attention. Sammy being the timid, laid back, shy, big baby. And yet even though they were so different, they both had some of the same qualities. They both thought they were 90 pound lap dogs, both were super loyal and protective.
We rescued them as babies and they rescued our hearts as we were just becoming a family. They completed what was missing to make us whole. There wasn't a day that would go by that Titan wouldn't try to bulldoze you down with soaking wet drool kisses after he just took a drink or that Sammy wouldn't try to climb up on someone's lap one leg at a time so slowly because he was afraid he'd hurt them or be too rough. They both knew sign language and if Titan ever heard "wake mom up" he knew the assignment. He would open our bedroom door and come up licking my face every time with drool. Our youngest use to ride them like horses and he could literally do anything to them and they wouldn't flinch. They were gentle giants.
They were not only our best friends, but they were loyal, caring, cuddly, and always smiling (as you see in the picture). Now, we are here missing them whole heartedly but knowing they aren't gone, now they are just looking after us as our guardian angels. Not here in body but in spirit. They both gave the best hugs and I think about that last one everyday. Til we meet again on the other side of the rainbow, keep looking after us and we'll keep your memories alive. We love you guys so big!
