Another call for help. Another cat. Another heartbreaking situation where we don't yet have answers.

This sweet baby is not doing well, and we have no idea why. We will be making a veterinary appointment as soon as possible and are hoping this is something that medication, treatment, and time can heal—not something more serious.

Rescue is filled with happy endings, but it is also filled with moments like these, where all we can do is seek help, provide care, and hope for the best.

Please keep this little one in your thoughts and prayers as we work to get answers and give them every chance possible.

🚨 URGENT: Calling All Rescues, Fosters, and Animal Lovers 🚨
We desperately need your help.

Bella's Promise Pet Rescue, along with other South Florida rescues and even some Palm Beach County Animal Care & Control staff, are doing everything we can during this overwhelming kitten season to save as many lives as possible.

We have recently learned of a new procedure implemented by the Clinic Manager that allows only 48 hours for a mom cat and her kittens to be rescued. After that, the friendly mother is returned to the field, and the kittens — even if they are old enough to be eating on their own — are scheduled for euthanasia.

We know firsthand that coordinating rescue placement, finding fosters, arranging transport, and securing resources often takes longer than 48 hours. During kitten season, this timeline is simply unrealistic and will cost lives.

We do not know whether the Executive Director is aware of this policy, but we believe it needs immediate attention and review.

Right now, there is one family left who will not make it past 5:00 PM today without help.

Cute and adorable, right? Here’s what you don’t see…
Two of the little black kittens from a litter of 5 “last call” kittens at Animal Care & Control ended up at Clint Moore Animal Hospital after coming to us extremely sick. Most of the urgent kittens we take in arrive with severe diarrhea, requiring constant cleaning, medications, special food, fluids, and around-the-clock care. Imagine trying to manage that with 4–5 week old babies who already need feeding and cleaning every few hours.

This is just ONE foster. All of these separate litters were quarantined before eventually being together, but no one person should have to take on this many lives alone. It’s exhausting, emotional, expensive, and nonstop. And every single one of our fosters looks like this right now.

We are trying our absolute best, but the requests for help from the community and urgent pleas from Animal Care & Control keep coming faster than we can transport kittens up north. We are fortunate to save many, but kitten season this year is completely overwhelming.

We need the community to step up.
Whether you foster for us, another rescue, or directly through ACC…whether you donate supplies, volunteer, help transport, take babies overnight, or even just share posts responsibly — it matters. We need more people actively helping and fewer people only tagging rescues and hoping someone else can take them.
Trust us, we see the messages. We know the need. We are trying to keep up. But every day it gets more heartbreaking.
