We Need Solar Chargers Urgently 🇯🇲⚡️

As many of you know, Hurricane Melissa has devastated communities across Jamaica, leaving families without power, light, or safe shelter. Right now, the most urgent needs on the ground are solar-powered supplies so people can have light, charge phones, and stay connected.

We’re back in the States very briefly to restock supplies and regroup before heading back to Jamaica for the next phase of relief work.

If you’re able to help, we are collecting:
• Solar chargers (phones & power banks)
• Solar lamps / solar lights
• Solar fans
• Tarps

You can purchase items and message us directly for the shipping address.

The next phase of recovery will be zinc roofing sheets and nails so families can begin rebuilding damaged roofs.

Every single item makes a difference. Thank you for showing up for Jamaica. 🇯🇲💛

We offer easy, convenient returns with at least one free return option: no shipping charges. All returns must comply with our returns policy.

This is why monetary donations also make such a huge difference 💙 While moving through the most affected communities in Jamaica, we met so many people who truly lost everything, including a safe place to sleep. This sweet man had just managed to get himself a mattress, but had been sleeping on it without a single sheet for days. Because of your donations, we were able to bring him a full sheet set so he could finally get the rest he deserves 💙

This was already three weeks after the hurricane, and he had gone that entire time without basic comforts. There are so many families living like this right now. We were able to provide sheet sets to multiple families, but so many more are still in urgent need. The most impacted areas will take months, and for some even years, to fully rebuild after Hurricane Melissa.

The most impoverished communities are always hit the hardest. Many homes of all types were severely damaged, but the ones completely flattened were often built from wood because that was all families could afford. Now they have nothing and must rebuild both their homes and their lives, including the most basic necessities like a place to sleep, soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and food. Being able to provide these essentials allows families to focus on making their homes safe again, and it truly makes a life changing difference.

Our team just got home yesterday, but some are going back in a week and with more donations, will be able to bring a smile to many more faces 💙

Baloo got a much needed break from boarding last night thanks to one of our incredible foster families and you could feel the relief in his whole body. 💙

He soaked up every cuddle he was offered and gave just as many in return. On the long drive he curled up in both transporters’ laps, finally getting the closeness he has been craving. He was not introduced to the other dogs in the home, but he stayed completely calm when he heard them behind closed doors which is a really positive sign.

This stay cannot turn into a permanent foster, but he loved sleeping in a cozy bed and being part of a home for even one night. He deserves that comfort every single night, not just as a short break.

Baloo desperately needs a full time foster in the tampa Bay Area. He would do best with one mellow dog who can be introduced slowly or as the only dog. He is not a match for cats or small kids. He did wonderfully with all three adults he spent time with including two women and one man. A fenced yard helps him decompress and is a great energy outlet for him.

Please help Baloo if you can. Sharing his story is one of the fastest ways to get him the safe, stable foster home he needs and truly deserves. 💔

A tarp may seem like an odd gift, but this was all Susan wanted for her birthday after losing so much of her home to Hurricane Melissa.

Tarps have been extremely difficult to find anywhere as they are in such a high demand, but we got so lucky the morning of her birthday and couldn’t wait to give it to her!

Susan is such a kind and loving soul with an incredible sense of humor despite all she has been experiencing the last three weeks. We feel so lucky to know her and are grateful for donations that help make something like a tarp happen for someone that it means the world to 💙

Thanks to your generous donations, we raised $220 to go towards Elicia providing her kids with what they need for school after that lost everything!

With additional funds, we were also able to provide them with a tarp so they can use more areas of her mom’s house, as they currently have 7 people living in one usable room.

We would love to be able to give Elicia and other families more during this difficult time. It’s going to be a long journey to rebuild the most affected communities, but every amount makes a large difference for them 🫶💙

TEMP FOSTER NEEDED for Gigi from November 26 through December 2 in Tampa Bay. All supplies provided to you 💙

Gigi is a two year old Frenchie mix with the cutest little face and the gentlest soul. She was recently rescued from the euthanasia list at Downey Shelter and she has been blossoming ever since. Her snorts, wiggles, and goofy charm make her a total heart melter.

She’s playful, affectionate, and happiest when she can be near her people. She loves belly rubs, short strolls, and curling up for cozy time. She is fully house trained, crate trained, and fully vetted and spayed.

Gigi does well with people and may do well with a calm, respectful dog buddy, though she’d also be perfectly happy soaking up all the love as the only dog.

We are looking for a loving temp foster who can give her a safe, stable place to stay while her foster is out of town. She is easy, sweet, and so grateful to be safe.

If you can help Gigi from November 26 to December 2, please reach out. She will brighten your home for the week you have her.

Canoli is a four month old burst of sunshine who is ready to charm his way into the heart of a forever family. He is the brother of little Baklava and is a Chi mix with a possible hint of Dachshund which gives him the perfect blend of adorable features, playful spirit, and endless sweetness.

Canoli is all puppy energy in the best possible way. He is playful, curious, silly, and always ready for the next adventure. He is also incredibly people focused. He lights up when he is with his humans and happily follows them around just to stay close. He is very smart and eager to learn which makes him a wonderful pup to train and grow with.

Canoli would thrive in a home with another friendly dog. He loves having a doggy buddy to wrestle with, play with, and curl up next to. He would also be happiest with a family where someone is home often since being with his people is his absolute favorite thing. Trips, errands, beach days, strolls around the neighborhood he is ready for all of it.

He is currently in a foster home with other dogs, cats, and bunnies and gets along great with everyone!

He is fully vetted and ready to start his life with a family who will adore him. Canoli has so much love to give and he cannot wait to meet his perfect match.

As time passes after a hurricane, the rest of the world tends to move on more and more each day. However, so many communities in Jamaica are going to suffer for many months, it may even be years for some to get fully back to normal. People who lost everything still deeply need and appreciate help with the basics. We are still fundraising for essential care items such as hygiene, power banks/solar chargers, and materials to rebuild their homes.

Everything makes a difference 💙

Donations needed for Nigel’s neuter🙏

Nigel was officially surrendered to us after he spent his whole first year of life living in a tiny cell outside, surrounded by his own molding f***s and being underfed. This is also where he stayed during the hurricane. A small bully breed like him is very rare here in Jamaica, so we are so grateful his previous owner was willing to work with us instead of giving him a life of being used for breeding. Nigel is so sweet, friendly, and ready for his fresh new start! 💙

Nigel is currently being boarded at Value Vets in Hopewell, Jamaica while he waits to get his neuter, vaccines, and 4dx test today. The total amount is $340 USD- but will increase once he is picked up from boarding in a couple of days after he is healed.

Daisy needs a new foster by this Friday and this tiny survivor is hoping her story reaches someone who can give her a soft, steady place to land. She is a one year old Chihuahua who came heartbreakingly close to being euthanized at a Los Angeles shelter, but she was saved just in time and is now safe in Tampa. She has settled in beautifully with her foster pups and absolutely loves having a yard to explore.

Daisy is fully vetted, healthy, and full of playful energy, but she is also a sensitive little soul. She can be timid at first and loud noises make her nervous. The sweetest thing about her is that she blossoms when another friendly dog is nearby. Having a dog companion gives her confidence and helps her relax around new people, which is why she needs a home with another dog and a fenced yard where she can feel secure.

Once she feels safe, Daisy becomes pure sunshine. She loves her humans, she loves her dog friends, and she shares her affection freely with her happy kisses and gentle cuddles. Sunbathing, toys, tagging along with her person, and playing with other pups are her favorite ways to spend the day.

Now that Daisy has been given her second chance, she just needs a foster home where she can continue to grow and trust while she waits for her forever family. If you can open your home to this brave little girl starting Friday, she will give you so much love in return.

Message us if you can foster Daisy.

Our hearts are bursting with gratitude for in Jamaica 💞 This incredible Jamaican brand is truly showing up for the dogs of Jamaica in a moment when help for animals has been far too scarce. While so many generous groups have been able to get essential supplies to families and communities, there has not been nearly enough for the dogs who are also struggling in the aftermath of the hurricane. True Pets stepped in and changed that in a huge way.

They donated hundreds of pounds of food for us to distribute across the most affected communities. There was so much that we could barely fit it all into our and we have never rooted for a car harder but our trusty Subaru held strong all the way from Kingston to Montego Bay with every last bag tucked inside. Because of this donation we have been able to hand out food to countless community members caring for their dogs and we have been able to feed stray dogs we meet along the way. Every tail wag and every full belly is thanks to the generosity of True Pets.

We are so grateful for the kindness of True Pets Food and so are all the dogs on the island🐶💙
