🚧Gates open 5:30
🚛Entry via Worongary rd- second gate horse entry
🎟️Gare Entry tickets - can be purchased on nominate with entries or on the day $10 per person. Cash or EFT available
🅿️- space is tight please follow the parking supervisor

🏠The Horse office is at the side of the ring entrances
Rider waiver and Health Dec need to handed in (available at the office)

❌All entries are via nominate, you need to show their office your receipt to receive tickets to hand to the steward as you enter the ring.

⏰ All rings start at 8am. Make stewards aware of any clashes to hold rings if possible

💚💙 We LOVE how community-minded our members are

As many of our members dedicate time to help out at the wonderful Show this weekend 🎢 we reflect on some other community initiatives our members have been part of this year.

For the past few months, we've had several members and their horses help the Gold Coast Light Horse Education Museum in delivering information sessions to young school children across the Gold Coast

💕Thank you to the GC Light Horse Museum in letting us be part of such an important initiative,
💕and a huge thank you to you Katie Ann, Lani, Sarah, Ali, Victoria, Nicky, Lauren and Mr Pickles for volunteering your time to help the larger community 💚💙

🎆✨Light up the night… but don’t forget your fluffballs!!!

The SkyRidge Fire & Light show is gonna be a total sky-spectacle 🌟 catch the fireworks at approx 6:30pm–7:00pm at Mudgeeraba Show 2025!!!

3 DAYS LEFT before the magical weekend!!

But while the sky’s popping off… some of our furry (and feathery) friends might be feeling a little spooked 😥🐾

Here’s how to keep them comfy and calm:
🐶Walkies before dinner, so doggo’s not caught off guard
🐱Keep cats indoors, they’ll find a cosy hidey-hole
🏠 Close the curtains, pop on some calming tunes, and make a chill-out den
🎮 Distract with treats, toys, or a snuggle sesh…
🚫 Don’t tether them outside! It’s dangerous if they panic
📛 Check their microchip and ID tags are up to date
🐰 Small pets? Tuck them into their enclosures nice and secure
🐴 Horses? Stable them early and remove anything sharp nearby
💬 And if you’re unsure, your vet’s always a great place to start!

Let’s make it a night to remember not just for us but for everyone 🥰

🚨 Warm Up Arena Etiquette 🚨 Good etiquette is key to a safe and smooth warm-up for everyone in the arena! It’s essential to follow these rules to keep your horse, yourself, and others safe. Whether you’re competing or just practising, understanding arena etiquette makes all the difference.

Here are some important tips to keep in mind:

1. Check the Gateway: Always make sure the gateway is clear before entering.
2. Don’t Adjust Gear on the Outside Track: Stay focused and adjust your gear in a safe space off the track.
3. No Halting on the Outside Track: Avoid halting on the outer track to keep things flowing smoothly.
4. Right of Way for Faster Work: Fast work uses the outside track or wall; slow work uses the inside.
5. Lateral Work: Lateral work takes priority in the warm-up arena.
6. Pass Left Shoulder to Left Shoulder: This is the safe way to pass other riders.
7. Warm Up Jumps: Look out for flagged jumps to see which direction you can jump from.
8. Ask for Help if Unsure: Don’t hesitate to ask an official or experienced rider for advice.

⭐ Tip: Practising these etiquette rules with friends can help both you and your horse feel more comfortable in a busy arena.
