This week we officially adopted our outdoor pal, Y***o. We love him to pieces. Vet appointment next week, then we will begin the long, potentially fruitless task of trying to get him used to being an indoor cat. Even if it doesn't work we can take care of him as best as possible. Welcome, Y***o Chapin! 🥰

It's Wimbledon time, and basically it's illegal to not drink Pimm's©️®️™️ during this time of year. It's a fruity, gin-based drink. It's not strong, which works for people like me who generally drink nothing stronger than Dr Pepper©️®️™️.

A Rocket For Furry Friends Pet Sitting

Rocket Boy Cat Sitting is the new name of Furry Friends Pet Sitting and the logo is based on my beloved boy, Mr. Mooch (above), who I had to say goodbye to in August of 2018. Mooch was about 19 years old, and the best thing that ever happened to me. I always called him my little Rocket Boy. I have toyed with the idea of creating a "for cats only" service for a considerable time, and with the passing of my boy, it seems like the ideal way to honor his wonderful memory.

I have a true passion for cats. I love all animals, but I have that “crazy cat person” gene, to be sure. The switch may have always been there, but it was flipped on by Mooch, and subsequently Roxy, Nooby, Frosty, and Roobarb. My personal and professional experience, as well as volunteer experience at Nick’s Nursery, Dakin Humane Society’s Intensive Care Unit for kittens, has simply made me more passionate about these always beautiful, sometimes graceful, and often (wonderfully) bizarre feline friends. I would love the opportunity to share these years of experience with you, my fellow cat lovers. This is not a hobby. This is my career, and I take it very seriously. I am familiar with various cat behaviors and can help to identify potential issues before they become more serious problems.
