Promised I'd keep the page up to date.. failed miserably

2025 show season off the a flying start albeit a bit later in the season than others

Lois has struggled with her confidence over the winter and refuses to ride in public off the lead, she's only 7 and there is no rush regardless of what other children are doing. She has done her own Novice pony from home herself and adores her it's just going to take time to release the leash

Don't get weekends like that very often

As always the boss lady Debbie Rose Hinds sent her instructions and John Hinds eyes on the ground as his knee is still too bad to run..

I may be looking to lease a lead rein hoys pony for next season, must be a mare, one season only so we can do our favourite big shows. Lois will be 7 but extremely tall. Alternatively I'm willing to play rent a jockey and meet at shows etc for a stand in jockey.

Nora is going nowhere as Lois will learn to be a FR jockey and do a workers season, if there is a tiny tots class and someone has a jockey they are welcome to bob on her at the same show.

Please can you keep your ears open until we convince Debbie Rose Hinds that Lois would like to go to hoys and nana can drink fizz

Osmotherley Show fabulous traditional agricultural show that really does have it all going on! Sun was out and it was only Nora aka Fantaz-Amazing! On board for miles on the clock.
Workers a dislike to whatever was living in the bush really made us remember this is a 5yr old pony and brought Lois positive riding out and yo our delight 4th in a lovely class of lead rein ponies and their little jockies.

Chaps lead rein win by default with only her in but into the overall championship with all the grown ups and granny Stephanie Towers sorry but she had me in stitches in the line up!
9 lovely patchies forward and to our absolute amazement she was called overall champion with my lovely pal and Marla standing reserve which was so lovely to be in their with my pal who is so supportive with Lois and my own journey with Dora.

Folks were even well behaved so I treat them to pimms in the sun! John Hinds Debbie Rose Hinds

Glorious day Border Union, Kelso for one of our favourite shows that we have had great success over the years here in the chaps classes.
Friday was special as Lois and Fantaz-Amazing! aka Nora did their first open chaps inhand class and stood 🥈
Their first ever WHP and clear with 🥉

Popenhop Pandora felt fabulous under saddle to win the Novice and then won the inhand, then a huge overall Coloured championship which was lovely we shared the ring with Lois in her first championship flying solo.

These two young mares are really enjoying their job and it helps when the sun shines!

Yet again we are behind with results

Lois had a wonderful ride at Great Yorkshire Show with the loan of the saint of a pony Dennis!
Thank you Michelle and Cassie for giving Lois her first GYS ride.
No placings but a great ride score considering the had never ridden him before the show.
It's certainly given Lois lots of confidence learning from Cassie and seeing Cassie going from lead rein to FR, as a result we think we may have cracked Lois attempting to learn canter! Videos to follow!
A reminder to let the children so this at their own pace!

Finally master the ride and lead which means pony can be kept fit not fat and hopefully this will encourage Lois to start hacking on the land which is so much more valuable than spending time in the school especially on a young pony. Two five years olds on their workout!
