Pogo’s Mini aussie ( Minature American Shepherd) working the barrier challange!!! This is an incredible exercise that we love to do with puppies at this age as it focuses on the puppies critical thinking skills in order to traverse a barrier and get to the other side. Once puppies tap into their ability to think critically for themselves this sets them up for a lifetime of success with challenges that they may come across!!!

Plus, having a tasty reward at the end of thinking through the challenge is always an added benefit !!

Typical morning at our house…. Skittles the bulldog rolling around on her fluffy bed, Biscuit the poodle playing with We**ee the frenchie, Biscuit is finishing up his training and is going home soon, she will be so sad they are besties, Trudie the frenchie grooming her daughter Splash - All this happens every morning whilie I drink my tea and get ready to head out for the day! I adore these guys!!!

It is truly amazing how smart these puppies are.
These Frenchies are about 10 weeks old now and are learning their basic commands. I’ve always say you cannot teach a puppy anything without their focus so focus needs to be the number one priority and boy these guys have it.!!!

We have two puppies, looking for a family to call their own one brindle boy with large white chest, and the brindle girl that has the small dot of weight on her chest.

These guys our little clowns with great personalities and lots of confidence!!!
Raising these puppies through puppy culture has really paid off !!

Have you ever heard of temperament testing or puppy culture?
Here at Kaigan Kennels , as we are raising our litters we are committed exposing puppies to positive emotional experiences in order to handover the best version of that puppy at that time of transition. As a trainer and a breeder, this is a labor of love. The training starts on day three with biosensor training and every week as new stages of development emerge we introduced just the right thing and just the right time to help expose them and build confidence to new experiences. Raising puppies is a labor of love & dedication. Many breeders don’t do this, and if you are not capturing and supporting the different stages of development, you are missing the window and potentially creating problems in the future for your puppy. I’m going to attach a video of one of the available puppies we have from a French bulldog litter. This is Boy Blue ( still waiting for a family to choose him) from Bug and Buddy’s litter at 7 weeks of age.

Meet Marley a 4 month old AKC Miniature Poodle from our Pink and Buddy’s litter litter. Today we have started his training journey and we will be documenting his progress as we move forward. Marley will be placed as a companion dog once his training is done!

 We have been calling him, Marley. Marley is an AKC blue merle miniature poodle. His training is currently underway and we are documenting his journey. Marley will be available as a companion dog after the training is done.!!!

Welcome to Marley’s journey in Training. Marley is a miniature poodle puppy that is from our Pink and Buddy litter. Marley is just four months old with no training on board except for crate training . He is smart as a whip, and we look forward to bringing you his training videos.

What a fantastic way to start the New Year!!! We took these silly kids to our vet for their health exam and everyone passed with flying colors.
Then we decided to do their photoshoot
These guys are so photogenic!
We will film the temperament testing tomorrow. Where has the time gone? It just felt like yesterday Frank and I were helping deliver via C-section, now they are almost ready to leave 🥹. We have adored these little babies and spoiled them rotten.
