Courtney post for two puppies searching for their forever homes.

There may be someone out there who is looking for a puppy and I have two! We all fall more in love with these guys every day and it becomes more important for me to place them in a forever home with someone within my circle for many reasons: my heart, their sweet lives, and a possible extended family for these guys and more! If you share this and these sweet puppies get adopted because of you, the God/gods of your choice will smile down upon you SO favorably! Rack up some great karma by helping me, helping the doggies and whoever is so lucky to get them!

We don't know what kind of dogs. The last vet who dealt with them said she couldn't really tell, but because of their sizes thinks they are some small terrier mix. They are approx 4 months old and both fully vetted. They were saved from the euthanasia list by SAPA and are in foster in Austin, Texas.

Bobby has markings that a lot of chihuahuas have but also German shepherd - he is a lithe looking little guy - thin and slinky, but with some pretty strong long looking legs. They both have giant 'hears' as a friend called them. Bobby looks like a miniature German Shepherd except with a short coat - his coat is smooth and soft.

Ricky is kind of a Frankenweenie. Very short thick legs...maybe corgi, dachshund, beagle or something that rides low...he walks with a wagger (waddle/stagger). Ricky's coat is more stiff and very short. Ricky is about mid-shin on me and Bobby is a couple of inches below my knee. He is so cute with his floppy ears, stuffed dog face, wagger and blonde wire hair terrier type whiskers...he's like a little live cartoon dog. He's so stumpy, that when he sits, his back end only loses about an inch.

They're definitely worth meeting by anyone who is interested in them. They are currently located in Austin, Texas but can be transported to Dallas, Houston, Austin or San Antonio. The foster can be reached by emailing [email protected]

UPDATE: Jo and Julie are going on a trial sleepover this weekend with a potential adopter. Fingers crossed it's a match!

SOS two very sweet approx 5 and 8 yr old dogs need a foster or adopter ASAP. Their human suddenly died and his family is threatening to dump them! Jo is the brown neutered male and Julie is the black spayed female. PLEASE help these two find a loving safe place before it's too late. San Antonio and Austin rescue peeps we need your help ASAP for this sweet momma dog on death row at SA Animal Services. A Good Samaritan found her begging for food and eating trash at a convenience store about two weeks ago but could never locate her again. A young woman found her this week and took her to the shelter in SA. We all know what her fate will be there unfortunately and her stray hold is up TODAY!

She's people and dog friendly and desperately needs a foster or adopter NOW! Please share. We will personally transport her today or tomorrow if a safe place can be found to save her life. Message us if you can help ASAP. Thanks all!

Little old ladies Missy and Mina need our help finding the perfect forever home together. They adore each other and would love a chance to find a loving home where they can live out their golden years side by side.

Last year we helped Missy's mommy keep her home after she was hit by a car and taken to a local shelter for injury care. Mina came into our rescue shortly after and the girls became instant friends so Missy's momma adopted Mina. A few weeks ago the girls momma contacted us and asked if we could help her find a home for the ladies. Their momma is 85 and has taken a few bad falls lately after tripping over the girls. Her greatest fear is not that she will get hurt but rather that she will hurt the girls by tripping over them or possibly ending up in the hospital with no one to care for them. Of course we said we would help and picked them up yesterday. Both girls are very happy in their foster home but would love a forever home to be found very soon.

Missy is approx 7 yrs old and Mina is approx 6 yrs old. Both are fully vetted and heartworm negative. Missy lost her tail in the accident with the car last year but that hasn't dampened her spirit at all. Both ladies currently need to lose a few pounds, but who doesn't ;) They are both crate and house trained, get along with cats and dogs and of course all people they meet. The only time they bark is to let you know they have to go potty. They would love nothing better than to lounge around all day in their cozy beds or a lap if it's available.

Handsome gentle Kolben needs our help finding his perfect forever home. One of Hope Lane Foster and Rescue's co-founders found Kolben on a major highway back in early 2009. Kolben found an amazing family and had been happily living a life of love for the past 6 years. Our co-founder received a call last week that Kolben had been taken into our local shelter as a stray. We went to spring him as soon as we could and started to investigate how he ended up in such a pickle at no fault of his own.

Turns out Kolben had been living with his dad after his family went through a divorce last year. We realized it was his own dad that had taken him to the shelter and turned him in as a stray! Thank dog Kolben's microchip was still registered to our co-founder and we got the call so quickly. Kolben's mom and human sibling are devastated but unable to take him to live with them due to very strict breed restrictions where they currently live. They asked us if we would please help their baby boy find a perfect forever home.

Kolben is approx 7 yrs old. He is one of the most gentle and patient dogs we have ever met. He knows basic commands in German and would make an excellent PTSD, emotional support or therapy dog. Unfortunately he is considered too old to become a fully certified service dog but he could def fill that role. He is smart as a whip and only wants to care for his people. He is house trained, crate trained and will not get into anything while left alone besides an open trash can and who came blame him for that? He is fully vetted and heartworm negative. Kolben could lose a few pounds with his current weight being 81lbs and his prime weight being around 65/70 lbs. He was raised in a home with cats and a very young child so he is super gentle. He really likes other dogs as long as intros are done in a supervised environment. He is a breeze on a leash and an absolute joy to be around.

Kolben is currently in a board and train program with our rescue partners at ATX K9 (see their page listed in comments below post). We are searching for a foster home by July 15th and ultimately the perfect forever home for Kolben. Please help us help him by sharing his story far and wide.

UPDATE: Board and train costs covered! Thank you so much to everyone that donated!

Kolben has been accepted into a board/train situation for a week to help him overcome his slight separation anxiety issues. The total cost for the week is $200. We have gotten pledges for $75 of that fee. If you can help us help this magnificent dog by making a donation towards his trained costs it would be amazing. Poor Kolben just can't catch a break. He had a really great meet and greet today. Both the family and their dog really liked him but decided he was too big for their apartment. So Kolben is still looking for a foster or adopter. He's a really awesome dog and we know the right people are out there we just need your help finding them. Please share! Thanks!

Little Missy and Mina still can't find a foster home to take them in until the perfect adoptive home is found. They are both very polite little old lady dogs that don't take up much space and have excellent doggie manners. They are quite content sleeping the day away in a lap or their crate. Either way is perfectly fine with them. Please help us help them and their elderly momma by sharing their post. Located in Austin, Texas but transport can be arranged for the perfect home.
