We’re coming with some sappy s**t that will make you hate humans a little more and the restore your faith in some people …so here’s your warning ⚠️

🐾Herman🐾

In November, Herman was just another forgotten soul — cane-thin, sick with heartworm, and barely hanging on. He’d been through more than we’ll ever know, and yet, he never stopped trusting. Never stopped hoping.🥹

When he landed in foster care, he didn’t just get food and medicine. He got love. He got a couch to curl up on, people to snore next to, and the kind of care that slowly stitched his heart back together.

And now… he’s not going anywhere!!!!

Herman has been adopted — by the very people who first opened their home to him. He’s not a foster dog anymore. He’s family.

No more waiting. Just soft beds, full bowls, and all the love he could ever need.

Welcome to forever, Herman. You made it.🏡🩵

🐾Pumpkin🐾

Pumpkin didn’t come to us — she crashed into our lives in November, carrying the quiet weight of a life that had taken so much from her. An owner surrender, but the truth was uglier: she’d been bred until her body gave out, used up and tossed aside when she had nothing left to give.

She was heartworm positive. Worn thin. Eyes dull. A dog who had given everything and been given nothing in return.

But still — she was gentle. Still sweet. Still willing to trust, even after everything.😫

And little by little, love started to do what it always does. Blankets, full meals, soft voices, kindness with no strings attached… she began to lift her head. Wag her tail. She started to heal.

Pumpkin didn’t just survive — she bloomed.🌷

Now she knows what it feels like to be safe. To be wanted. To be somebody’s — not because she can give anything, but just because she is.

She will never be used again. Never be forgotten. Never be alone.

Pumpkin is home. And this time, it’s forever.🏡🩵

Both of these pups couldn’t have landed in better foster homes, to be so gentle and nurturing while they learned what life should be. We couldn’t be more thankful to all of our fosters & our partner shelter where these pups came from westpoint_animalshelter_ms🩵🐾

Dulcé (yes, it means “sweet”) is exactly that—sweet, smart, and seriously adorable. She’s the total package in a compact, brindle-wrapped bundle of love.

This superstar pup came up from Tennessee with her mama and siblings, and while they’ve all found their forever homes, Dulcé is still waiting patiently in foster care for her person. (We even have a sibling’s DNA test to give you a hint at her breed mix!)

These cute Rascals got to hang at Oswego East today for the Key club Kids care day of service!! 🩵🐾

So many amazing people came out and made rope toys out of recycled shirts and gotcha day cards for when pups go home!!!

We’re celebrating in the best way possible—by giving 27 incredible dogs a second chance at life! These pups just arrived from our amazing shelter partner in Mississippi West Point Clay County Animal Shelter and are now safe, loved, and one step closer to finding their forever homes.

Every tail wag, happy bark, and hopeful gaze is a reminder of why we do what we do. Thank you to our amazing team, transport partners, and fosters who make this rescue possible.

Here’s to fresh starts, full hearts, and forever families! 🏡

Say hello to KitKat—your low-maintenance puppy dream! This gentle guy is the perfect mix of cuddly couch potato and playful pup. He’s already crate-trained, 95% potty trained, and knows all the basics—sit, down, stay, come, crate, and more!

KitKat came to Illinois from Tennessee as a tiny pup with his mom and siblings (all adopted!), and now it’s his turn to find a forever home. He’s calm, quiet, and absolutely lives for snuggles, food, and chew toys. He walks well on leash, loves kids (especially toddlers), and would be happiest in a home with another dog buddy to romp and cuddle with.
