The first pictures are a cluster of 3rd year plants popping through the leaf litter while the one by the post is a 2nd year transplant. The leaf litter serves as a natural barrier against grass and weeds helping our verdant to grow in our 3.

This is a typical second year in our 3 being winterized with fresh leaf litter , as we do with the other . This provides an environment for to enrich the while naturally eliminating any competition. Our new plants in the greenhouse will be transplanted in the open areas next spring. Stay tuned!
