‼️ Good news: The House Appropriations Interior Subcommittee on Tuesday voted to approve 2026 funding bill language that includes critical protections for wild horses and b***os that the president omitted from his budget proposal.

The full House Appropriations Committee will vote later this week.

The president’s Fiscal Year 2026 budget proposal left out standard protections that bar the Bureau of Land Management from killing healthy wild horses or selling them without protection against slaughter, placing at risk the lives of 63,000 captive wild horses and b***os.

The House bill includes $144 million for the BLM’s Wild Horse and B***o Program, a $2 million increase from 2025.

That compares to $106.7 proposed by the president — an amount that would have slashed the wild horse program’s budget by 25% and placed it near the $101 million the agency spent last year caring for wild horses and b***os living in off-range holding facilities.

Are you looking at visiting The New Forest this weekend? Please know there are Public Spaces Protection Orders in place and it is a finable offence to light a fire, use a BBQ or any cooking equipment with the National park.

We don't want the Livestock to be put in danger because you think its ok for you to have a BBQ.

Saw this little man dealing with the remains of a large wildfire...

Petting or feeding livestock is also an offense. Sounds brutal but has to be done. Our livestock should not be abused by visitors and should be treated with respect as they do their job as keeping the New Forest as the way we want to see it.

TOMORROW is The CALL of the Wild National Call-In Day of Action and Protest to Save America’s Wild Horses and B***os and Our Public Lands!

This is an urgent alert for every organization and individual who cares about the protection, preservation, and survival of America’s Wild Horses and B***os and our precious Public Lands. We must all act together on One Massive National Call-In Day of Protest. We ask each of you to spend just 10 minutes of your time on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, to call your two U.S. Senators and your House Representative. Ask them to:

1. GUARANTEE that the FY2026 Appropriations Bills, which are being worked on right now, include a ban against the slaughter and killing of Wild Horses and B***os, as previous bills have had in the past. There are over 64,000 Wild Horses and B***os in holding facilities, and 10,000 more are scheduled to be rounded up and removed before October 1, 2025.

2. REJECT the Privatization and Sale of America’s precious Public Lands, home to 3,000 species of Wildlife, including our Wild Horses and B***os. According to a 2025 poll, the vast majority of Americans oppose the selling or closing of Public Lands.
On Tuesday, July 1, 2025, let us all unite under One Big CALL OF THE WILD Umbrella and speak to Congress together in one loud voice, “Hands Off Our Wildlife! Hands Off Our Public Lands!”
