We're thrilled to share some exciting news! Thanks to your incredible generosity, we've raised an additional $50 for Jazz's emergency vet bill, bringing our total to $175. We're so grateful for your support as we continue to work towards our goal of $300.

And guess what? Our two new miniature horses, Shadow and Buttercup, arrived safely at the sanctuary today! While they're absolutely adorable, they do have some special needs. Both are 20+ years old, obese, and the mare is blind in one eye and it is distended. We've already started them on a low-sugar diet to address the founder issue.

To provide them with a safe and comfortable home, we're building a custom shelter. We've also got to consider fencing, blankets, and special feed. So far, we've raised $320 toward our goal of $1,000.

After a 600 mile move from Florida to Alabama, Jazz has never looked or been better.

His once massive, self inflicted hip wound is now completely healed, no more allergies, and he roams free with his old buddy Percy.

Serenity's Jazzman got a nice grooming today by both Mr. Allen and Mrs. Cherina. Jazz has been our special needs boy from nearly day one when we brought him home in June 2015. He was our first rescue from the "slaughter pipeline" and who inspired us to officially register Serenity Saviors as a 501c3 in 2016.

He has finally stopped chewing himself, his hip wound is healed, and improved his body condition. He will always be a hard keeper, but we are proud to show he is looking good.

I added a freeze screen in the comments from a trot video we did with him today too.

After 3 years of fighting his self-inflicted wound, Jazzy is healed! It's really gone!!

We would love to help another Saddlebred become another lesson/therapy horse at Serenity, but without additional stalls being built as we had hoped, we cannot yet bring in more.
