Focused on the successful keeping and breeding of chondros, roughies, BRBs and boeleni. This grew into a hobby under the name American Pieds.
I initially started working with ball pythons with the intention of fostering the love of all animals in my boys. I quickly found out that while ball pythons make good pets, I strongly preferred more challenging, arboreal species. Over time, I transitioned completely away from ball pythons and focused in on the species which I was most passionate about. Today I operate under the name "Boids by Bre
nnan" and primarily focus on the successful keeping and reproduction of Green Tree Pythons (referred to as Chondros by most keepers). In addition, I have a couple side projects which include Morelia carinata (rough scaled pythons) and Simalia boeleni (boelen's pythons).

I've been pretty quiet on here for a while now! I recently had a promotion that included a move from Kentucky to the Charleston, SC area. As a result things have been a bit chaotic!
That being said, I'm happy to report that all the animals have settled in well! Here are some of my females. Fingers crossed for a great 2025 breeding season 🤞

Few pics I've taken over the past week or so in-between cleaning enclosures. Gotta love the variability of chondros!!

Love the variability of the piebald gene in BRBs!! Here are a couple males we produced last year. Both are low white animals, with a heavily disrupted pattern when compared to the normal BRB phenotype. Can't decide if I like the busy or bold look more!

A big thanks to JL Chondros for this new male!! I've had him a couple days now, and he's already settled in and accepted a meal. Really can't ask for anything more!!! Excited to plug him into our projects 🔥🔥

As you all are aware, one of my many hobbies is the keeping and breeding of Green Tree Pythons. I love animals of all types, but am continually fascinated by the beauty and misunderstood nature of reptiles. This is something that I am passionate about sharing with my boys. A love/respect for all living things, and the pursuit of things that bring them joy.
I keep/have kept countless species throughout my life, but have found a true passion with green trees. Currently, I keep a group of more than 20. Being that I specialize in this species, I was asked to do a review of the Green Tree Python box provided by My Snake Crate (a monthly subscription box service). I was more than happy to oblige!
The Green Tree Python box was a great experience to share with my boys. It included stickers, a poster, a coaster, coffee (from Snakespresso, a conservation driven boutique coffee company), treats, educational material (including a quiz game, a species pamphlet, fact sheet & care guide), and a clay activity.
My boys had an absolute blast with this box, and it allowed me a fun way to share some of my hobby with them. Each of my boys have now claimed one of my GTP's as their own 😂 This box provided a fun, educational experience for both of my boys. I would absolutely recommend it to others that are interested in a similar experience.

These are the first USCBB Piebald Brazilian Rainbow Boas.

Feeling blessed to say the least 😊🙏😊

One of my favorites in my collection. Love how pastel her colors are, definitely a unique looking chondro!

Here are 3 calico siblings that I'm currently raising up. All three were red neonates, and all three are different in appearance as they progress through OCC. Gotta love the variety of Chondros!! Gold River Reptile

For some species, it can be a little difficult to tell when they are getting ready to shed... boeleni are NOT one of those species 😂

One of my roughies tucked away on a rock ledge, soaking up some heat. Morelia carinata are a very under appreciated species in the hobby. Love working with them! Planning on attempting to breed them for the first time this season 🤞🤞

Close up scale photo right after a shed on this 3 yr old. Love melanistic chondros!! Fingers crossed this one is a female 🤞🤞

Here are a couple of biak locality animals that were imported last year as neos. While we love our designer chondros, we can't deny the fact that Mother Nature killed it when it comes to wild phenotypes 🔥

This is a 2020 HY juvenile I'm raising up, produced by my buddy Socratis Christoforou over at Ari Elli Max Arboreals! Hasn't gained any green scales for a while. Looking forward to seeing this one full grown!

Being a huge fan of TW Blue Line chondros, this is one of my most anticipated future pairings. Can't wait to put these two together in a couple years.
The male was produced by John Irby over at Mid-Atlantic Arboreals and the female was self produced! They're both looking better and better with each passing shed... 🥶🔥🥶

Was beyond excited to upgrade my juvenile boeleni pair to 8' cages!! They're settling in wonderfully.
Additionally, I intentionally chose to wear this shirt from my buddy Ari Flagle. He studies these beautiful animals in their natural environment, and has literally written the book on Boelen's pythons (two of them!!)
If you are passionate about this species, please support his work. And be sure to visit his new zoo, Reptilandia in TX!!

It's always fun to observe natural behaviors in captivity! Chondros regularly caudal lure when hunting. This term refers to the use of the tail to mimic a worm/caterpillar/etc in order to attract small animals. When the animal seeking the wriggling "worm" gets close enough, the chondro will strike.
Feeding a rough scale python neonate.
Feeding a GTP neonate.
You've got to love it when your neonates start eating with zero hesitation!

Welcome to Our Page!
American Pieds is owned by Brennan Nowlin. I am a small hobby breeder of ball pythons and green tree pythons. I also keep rough scaled pythons and piebald Brazilian rainbow boas, with the intention of breeding those in the future as well.
All of my pairings are planned with the purpose of producing specific animals that I want to keep in my collection. This page will mainly cover my piebald projects (Ball Pythons, and BRBs) and its sister page “Cornerstone Chondros” will cover my Chondro and Roughie projects. Any animals that are not holdbacks will be listed on my MorphMarket account and shared here.
Currently, the two main ball python projects I am working towards are VPI True Ghost Pieds combos and Candy Ghost Pied combos.
Thank you for checking out our page, and following our projects!
