Whimsical Woods Flora & Fauna Private small animal breeder/keeper with a plant/bonsai hobby. My primary breeding project is pied mice, but I keep and sometimes breed a variety of species.

We are a small scale rodentry in Sacramento, CA. Most of our mouse lines have been ended at this point due to various issues. The only line we are still working with is the Dove/Champagne show type line originating from Karens Kritters. We are bringing in rats in early 2014 from Shangri La Rattery in Florida. Nothing is set in stone at this point, but we plan to bring in 4 lines from them. The fut

ure for our mice is uncertain. We loved our angora mice, and various marked lines, but for health reasons, all of those lines had to be ended. Megacolon was spotted in one of our adult mice that was adopted out, and we didnt feel comfortable possibly spreading the awful genetic condition. We plan to bring in rex and texel, as well as a few marked lines in the future, but have not made plans at this point. None of our animals are feeders. All adopters must go through an application process, and adopting to breeders is on a case by case basis.
