It’s always an honor to mount someone’s first trophy. This turkey fan mount commemorates the first one harvested by the young lady Maddy Voccio, the winner of the 2025 Youth Turkey Hunt organized by the Hunter Education Program at the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (Division of Fish and Wildlife).

Programs like these are a fantastic way to inspire young people to embrace the outdoors and a healthier, more balanced lifestyle in today’s tech-heavy world.

Scarlet tanager. It's a rare privilege to mount this little bird.
Because this species is federally regulated, it must come from an authorized institution with the appropriate paperwork—typically for educational purposes—so the opportunity to work on one is quite uncommon.

Thanks to for making this possible. It’s a beautiful specimen, and it was fun and interesting to mount it.
