Woof 'N' Wag Pet Sitting ▪️Pet/house sitting🏡▪️Pet visits🐈🐇🦜🦎🐓 ▪️Ad-hoc dog walking🦮▪️Fully insured📖 ▪️DBS checked🔐 My name is Angela and I like dogs. A lot!

I have experience of having my own dog and, since 2015, walking and looking after a variety of friends' and client's dogs on a regular basis. I can look after your pets in their own environment so you can go away knowing they're happy in their own beds. Also, if you have a dog, I love to be outdoors and explore new places so your dog will always get good walks with me. It's not just about dogs tho

ugh! I have sat for cats, hamsters, lizards and chickens before. Whether you have a small animal, a few animals or a whole menagerie, I am able to consider all variations, including small holdings/miniature farms. Although I am based in the South of England, I have the flexibility to travel anywhere in the UK for overnight house and pet sits. If you are in the west New Forest and surrounding area, I can offer ad hoc dog walking, dog/puppy day and evening sits, and pet visits. Whether you are going away for a weekend or a few weeks/months and need your house sat, with or without pets, send me a message and we can talk about your requirements and dates. If you have any questions, please send me a message (Button at top of page).

Today marks two years since I started house and pet sitting full-time. 🎉 I am extremely fortunate to be able to make this way of life work. 😎

I continue to be grateful to my clients and their faith in me to look after their animals and houses, as well as my friends and family who support me and champion my business. I am so lucky most of my work comes from word of mouth, and that I have the reassurance I am doing a good job when clients recommend me to others. 🙏

Anniversaries are a good time to reflect and look to the future. Development and learning have always been important factors for me in any job I have done, however, in this work I sometimes struggle to measure how I have improved. Recently I've had circumstances where I have used the knowledge and skill I gained over the past two years to address a problem or issue. It has made me realise certain behaviours and responses have become second-nature, and that I often forget two years ago I would not have known how to deal with the situation. Remembering these moments spurs me on and gets me excited for what the future may hold, and what animals I am yet to meet and learn from. 🩵💚🧡

Last week, I was driving down a busy road and saw two dogs running backwards and forwards across the road. Having dealt with it several times over the past year, I instantly knew they were some cheeky four-pawed runaways. So I pulled over, jumped out and went over to them. They were both friendly and I was able to check their collar and instantly ring their owner. Very quickly, all was sorted and the dogs were back with their owners.
🔹️
It is law for dogs to have a collar and dog tag on them when out walking, however, I am aware that sometimes complacency sets in and because we "know" our dogs, we might not always put collars on them. Particularly when on our own property. In the scenario I encountered, the dogs had escaped from their own garden and so I could have found that they didn't have a collar on them, for example if they were having a collar rest, but thankfully they did.
🔹️
Equally, I know that legally dogs should be chipped, but the process of taking a dog to a vet (particularly if they are nervous or aggressive with strangers), to check the details on the chip, can be distressing for the dog, and makes the process of reuniting the owners with their dogs drawn out.
🔹️
Dogs running off or escaping is common, and having a collar with a tag (with up-to-date details) on can help the dog and owner go through as little distress as possible in these situations as a quick phone call can save the day.
🔹️
I use these dog tags on the dogs that I look after or walk. They have my details on the other side. This incident reinforced to me the importance of me putting my tags on the dogs I look after.
🔹️
I also carry an extra slip lead on my dog walks, in case I come across an escapee dog. Slip leads are particularly useful in case the dog doesn't have a collar.
🔹️
Sometimes I ponder whether the measures I have put in place are needed, but the situations where I come across lost dogs always remind me of why I do them.

Good evening 👋

I am trying something new ✴️ I don't normally post available dates on here as I am fortunate enough that, either, I don't have a lot of availability, or, if I do, I fill it with other bits and bobs. But I am giving it a go to see how it works out 😀

Some house sitting dates have become available for the beginning of November in the ✳️Bransgore/Burley up to Fordingbridge/Alderholt✳️ area.

📅 Sunday 3rd November to Tuesday 12th November 2024, inclusive or part of.

If you are in need of a pet sitter over these dates, DM me and we can have a chat 💬

Looking forward to more days like this, where the sky is bluer and the sun is brighter. ☀️🐾🐕💙

I cannot quite believe I am saying this, but today is 1 year since I officially started pet and house sitting full-time!! 🎉🥳
I just wanted to mark this milestone by thanking everyone for their support throughout the past year. 🙏
Most of the business I have received has been via word of mouth. 🗣 I feel very thankful that I have friends and family around me to help spread the word, as well as the support behind the scenes.
What has been really lovely is when clients I have acquired have recommended me to other people. It is a fantastic feeling to receive that call or message from someone who says an existing client has recommended me to them; it gives me such satisfaction that I am doing a good job. ❤️
Here’s to another year of fun and frolics with the dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, fish, horses and chickens I have had the pleasure of getting to know and who have taught me a lot over the past 12 months, and it excites me that there are many more pets and animals I am yet to meet and learn from. Bring it on! 🐾

Happy New Year one and all! 👋

I cannot believe that in a month’s time I will be celebrating my one-year anniversary of doing house and pet sitting full-time. 🥳🎉 Time certainly does fly! 2023 was a busy year for me, developing the business and finding my feet on how it all works.

Pet sitting has been my focus for the first year of the business, and I have been extremely lucky to develop a lovely client base and have met some gorgeous pets in the process. My pet and house-sitting bookings for 2024 are nearly full, however, there are a few weeks still available, so if you are in need of a pet sitter this year, drop me a message and I can share what dates I have available. 2025 is getting full up too, if you are looking to plan that far ahead!!

Moving forward, I will be expanding my services within the Fordingbridge and Ringwood area. It may be that you are going on holiday and don’t need an overnight sitter, but require someone to pop in during the day to visit your cat or small animal, or your dog needs a one-off dog walk.

The services I will be offering are:
🐕 AD HOC Dog/puppy walks, for example, your regular dog walker is on holiday, you or your regular dog walker are ill and unable to walk the dog, owners are away for the day.

🐶 Dog/Puppy day sits; half days/evenings or full days available. (Look after the dog at their own home during the day, including any daytime feeds, walks, rub down and brush after a walk, training/enrichment time, cuddles.)

🐈 Cat/kitten visits. (Let in/out, clean bowls, feed and fresh water, clean any mess and litter trays, brush, cuddles and playtime.)

🐇🐹🦜🦎🐠🐔 Small animal visits; rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, fish, reptiles, chickens. (Let in/out, feed and fresh water, clean any mess and cage/tank/run, etc, clean bowls, brush, cuddles, fuss and playtime.)

If you have any questions feel free to send me a private message or email me on [email protected]

Here’s to a woof-tastic 2024!! 🐾
