Atlantic Canadian Dachshund Rescue is an all-volunteer registered charity that rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes dachshund and dachshund mixes in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland & Labrador
Our mission is to help homeless dachshunds in all of the Atlantic Provinces find new homes. Our goal is to educate the public about the breed and about responsible pet ownership so we can reduce the number of animals that end up in shelters and rescues.

$ ~ THREE DOLLAR THURSDAY ~ $

Are you able to make a $3 donation to help ACDR?
We have Ebony's spay, vaccinations, flea & tick and microchip, Remy's neuter, vaccinations, microchip, flea & tick as well as a dental consult for his overbite, and Stella's spay, vaccinations, flea & tick and microchip to pay for in the coming weeks.
Your $3 donation would have such a paws-itive impact for the rescue.

That would be $1 per dachshund, from each donation of $3.

We have 14,000+ followers and know that not everyone will see our post or be able to donate. Imagine if we were lucky enough to get just 10% of you to donate $3 each. That would amount to $1400 per dachshund, which would be such a wonderful help towards paying their vetting costs.

🌭 HAPPY NATIONAL HOT DOG DAY 🌭
The earliest known Hot Dog Day was held in Alfred, New York in 1972. Hot Dog Days host such events as hot dog bbq's, hot dog eating contests and wiener dog races. Often the proceeds from a hot dog day are given to charity.
Today, ACDR will host two, 'by donation' Hot Dog BBQ's.
👉 11am to 1pm ~ Hantsport Home Hardware
👉 4pm to 6pm ~ Windsor Superstore
Come see ACDR Alumnus Frankie, ACDR's Compassionate Care IVDD Warrior.

💚 ASSESSMENT HOLD 💚

Please help us welcome 2.5 year old Remy into the ACDR family. Remy is a handsome, loving little guy. Remy will need to see the vet for a check-up once he has had some time to settle into his foster home. He will need to be neutered, get up to date on his vaccines and be microchipped. Remy has an overbite, so we want his teeth and bite checked as well.

As a Registered Charity, we rely solely on donations from our followers & supporters to help pay for veterinary care, food, beds, toys and so on.

She will need to be spayed, get up to date on her vaccines, be microchipped and she may also need a dental cleaning.

Atlantic Canadian Dachshund Rescue is thrilled to present Wienerpawlooza—a dachshund-themed celebration packed with furry fun, and we’re inviting vendors to be part of the waggiest event of the year!

🎉 What Is Wienerpawlooza?

A heartwarming community event focused on all things dog—especially the delightful dachshund! Expect lively entertainment, adorable pup parades, family-friendly activities, and plenty of tail-wagging excitement.

🛍️ We’re Looking for Vendors Who Offer:

- Pet products like accessories, treats, apparel, or grooming items
- Handmade goods, crafts, décor, and art
- Pet services, rescue groups, or educational booths

This is ACDR Alumnus Hershey, a very lovable doggie who loves giving kisses. When he was first adopted, Hershey was not a fan of car rides, but now he demands them daily 🚗 🐾 💕
Hershey loves cottage life, where he lets his hair blow in the wind, in his fenced in back yard.
