Pitties.Love.Peace is an all-volunteer 501c(3), foster-based organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of pit bull and bully breed mix dogs and puppies. It is our mission to save those neglected, suffering, or simply unwanted and place them into loving, forever homes. Many dogs come to us with serious medical needs; others simply needing love for the first time in their lives. We als

o serve as advocates for the dogs we love so much. Our volunteers work tirelessly to educate the public on the truths and myths of pit bull type dogs and the importance of responsible dog ownership. As a non-profit organization, we rely solely on the generosity of supporters to provide our dogs with everything they need on their journey to happily ever after. This includes routine veterinary care, such as spay and neuter surgeries, as well as life-saving emergency medical care, treatment by specialists, and complex surgeries. Through your generosity, we can save countless dogs every year and help those who need us most.

🚨 Adoption Alert! 🚨

Dodger joined us in October of 2024 from a local shelter. At just a year old, he was a timid young guy who needed a patient home to allow his personality to blossom. While getting settled in to his foster home, he was also wiggling his way into the heart of his foster mom. After 5 months together, they decided it was probably best to spend all the rest of them together too. We made things official in March and couldn’t be happier for this duo.

Happy tails for your hump day…

Elphaba joined us at the beginning of the year from a crowded local shelter. At around a year old, she was absolutely stunning and pretty easy going overall. Several months ago, she met her perfect match in a family with a lot of love to give. In March, Elphaba joined her new family, and she fit in seamlessly. We’ve received photo upgrades and can confirm that she has found the happily ever after that she deserves.

Meet Turtle! 🐢

Last week, we were contacted about a 12 week old puppy looking for rescue as an owner surrender. We were fortunate to have an open foster home for a puppy, so we scooped him up on Thursday. He came with no medical records, so we are working to get him caught up on age appropriate vaccines and scheduled to be altered. As he continues to settle in, his foster mom says he has been nothing short of puppy perfection. Not that it needs mentioned, but he’s pretty adorable too! 😍

Last weekend, a young French bulldog turned up at a crowded local shelter as a stray. When nobody came looking for her, we bailed her out and welcomed her into a PLP foster home. At around 1 year old, she appears to be in good health and is dog-friendly. She also tolerates people pretty well for how judgy her face looks. 😂 She is currently getting settled in, but will see our vets this coming week for a wellness check. She is slightly underweight at just 14lbs, and will still need to be spayed prior to adoption, but until then we’ll be sure to share alllll of her cuteness! 😍

Last week, we were contacted by a local shelter partner about a pup in their care seeking rescue. This little guy was estimated to be about 13 weeks old and has a cherry eye. Prior to leaving the shelter, a surgical repair was attempted, but it appears that the repair did not hold and will need further intervention. At this point, we are keeping him comfortable as he heals from his first procedure and will determine a plan today at his follow-up appointment with our vets. He is currently getting settled into his PLP foster home and is showing himself to be a sweet little man. As we have updates and learn more about him, we’ll be sure to share updates. Until then, how cute is he looking up to his big foster brother? 😍

- Belly scratches are his guilty pleasure
- Occasional snuggler, also content to lay by himself at times
- Loves to play with other dogs, so his ideal household will have at least one tolerant adult dog for him to pal around with
- Crate-trained and working hard at housebreaking
- Cats: kitty-friendly 🐈
- Looking for an active family committed to ongoing training and socialization to keep him on track to being his very best through his adolescence

Say hello to our newest addition! 👋🏼

Joey joined us last week from a local shelter where she arrived as part of a cruelty seizure. Although Joey appeared to be physically unharmed from her previous situation, she definitely is in need of some positive experiences and a confidence boost. At 7 months old, our new gal is just as nervous as she is sweet. While we work to show her that she is safe now and that life is good, we’ll be sure to share updates about Joey and the type of forever home she’s dreaming of.

Anybody looking to add to their pack? 🥰

Adoptable Wreath has been with us since November. As we approach her first birthday next month, this sweet gal would love nothing more than a home to call her own. Her one request is that she would have at least one doggie sibling in her house. Wreath has a timid personality, but thrives in the company of other dogs. She dreams of a patient family will who allow her time to adjust to new situations and new people. Once she feels comfortable, she promises to be your very best friend and A+ adventure buddy. She is silly, loving, and a true beauty. We know her perfect fam is out there. Could it be yours?
