Update for my spring trip to NY! This year I will be making 3 trips to NY, as well as one weekend that is TBD for the Plattsburgh area.

Dates are still a little flexible at the start of the trip. But looking at:
April 1 through April 6.

April 1- Plattsburgh area
April 2/3 - Canton areas
April 3/4/5 - Watertown and surrounding areas
April 5 - Ithaca area
April 6- Knoxville, PA

I will be covering a LARGE area of NY during the trip to hit as many of my people as possible so days will be packed and I may not be as flexible with times as in the past.

I do have a list of people that I will be in touch with over the next few days. To make sure you get a spot please email me at [email protected]. sometimes FB messenger gets funky and I miss messages.

It's that time of year for leather repairs! Here is one I did recently that wasn't saddle related. Replaced the main zipper on this backpack, cleaned, and conditioned.

Another update for The Saddle Gal!

Starting July 1st I will be modifying my pricing. It's been a couple years since I raised prices and it's time to do so again now that I have an expanding family and am travelling further to see people.
- Minimum price for any horse up to an hour is $100. Most appointments tend to run around an hour long, and over an hour I will charge the hourly rate of $100/hr.
- Travel Fees: I will need to raise rates to cover gas and wear and tear on my car. I've been lenient with these and am realizing I need to be more strict on what I need to charge. Areas within an hour from me will be a flat rate of $40. I will need to see at least 2 horses for that rate to apply. Areas 1-2 hours from me will be $50 per person and will need to be a minimum of 2 horses as well. Areas 2-3 hours will be a flat rate of $60 and I will need to see 3-5 horses to have the rate apply. In any area, if you happen to be the only person/horse I see I will either need to wait to schedule you until another person books an appointment, or I will need to charge more for the trip rate. NY areas (Canton, Potsdam, Watertown, Ithaca) will be variable depending on how many people and days I fill, usually between $60-75 per person.
- TRAILERING TO ME!!! I am working on a place for you to trailer to me if you want to avoid the trip fee! Updates will be coming soon as I work out the details.
- Consignment saddles: I will be limiting how many used saddles I take in. I already am picky, but the reality is I don't tend to sell them quickly and there are many other places to sell saddles so I will be happy to recommend those. If I do take in saddles I will be taking 20% commission
- Shipping saddles for Trials: I will be charging a flat rate of $50 to ship saddles out for trials and that is not refundable or able to be put towards the sale of the saddle. If you decide the saddle isn't the right one you will be responsible to ship it back or to get it back to me within 14 days of the trial.

Hello All! I have some exciting news to share. I have started another saddle fitting venture with a colleague in Massachusetts. Lise Krieger and I have started The Saddle Fit Academy! We will be continuing Mike Scott's legacy and teaching classes for English and Western saddle fitting as well as offering smaller workshops throughout the year.

I will still be saddle fitting as The Saddle Gal and will be maintaining my current clients. Any new clients may have to wait a little longer than before as I will be prioritizing the areas and people I currently serve. I'm looking forward to doing some education as I really enjoy teaching people about saddles.
