Throwback to 11 years ago when little River was just a tiny ball of fluff and boundless energy! From chasing her favorite ball to napping in the sun, she filled our days with joy and endless puppy kisses. Time flies, but these memories stay forever.

Yesterday, I supervised the assembly of a new desk. That’s right. Supervised. I don’t have thumbs, but what I do have is an exceptional nose for loose screws and an eye for crooked panels.

While the humans fumbled with tools and directions in a language I’m pretty sure they made up on the spot, I stood firm on the baseboard, inspecting every step. You could say I brought the “paws-on” leadership they desperately needed.

Meanwhile, River — the other “supervisor” — decided she had full confidence in my project management skills and went completely off-duty… onto her new cooling mat… for an uninterrupted nap. Classic delegation.

(Also, please excuse the gnarly foot cameo. I was going to Photoshop it out, but again… no thumbs.)

These two canine couch potatoes are perfecting the art of doing absolutely nothing in tandem. They're like two peas in a pod, or rather, two dogs in a synchronized laziness session. River, the tri-color master of relaxation, and Winky, the brown Buddha of chill, are laying in identical poses, paws splayed, eyes gazing into the void. It's like they're competing in a "Who Can Look the Most Unimpressed" contest, and it's a dead heat. Who needs yoga when you have these two dogs demonstrating the downward-facing laze?

Guess what?! I’m on my very first big adventure—the Clancy's Dream...dog rescue reunion! I was such a good girl on the trip (gold star, please), and now I’m figuring out this whole “hotel life” thing. Beds everywhere? Yes, please! Room service? Still waiting… 😜

Winky (Brown Dog): Hello? Confetti? Is that you?

Confetti (Black Dog): Winky?! Oh wow, is it really you?! I can’t believe we’re finally talking again!

Winky: It’s really me! I’ve missed you so much.

Confetti: I’ve thought about you all year.

Winky: Same here. My new humans give me belly rubs on demand and I’ve learned how to steal the treats off the side table —don’t tell them I said that.

Confetti: You rebel! I’ve got a favorite sunny spot on the couch and all the Barbies I can gnaw on. But none of it’s the same without you.

Winky: Well, guess what—there’s going to be a reunion for all the dogs from Clancy's Dream... We’re finally going to see each other again!

Confetti: I’m going to zoom in circles around you and scream at everyone until we both fall over. It’s going to be the best day ever.

Winky saw all the pictures of Confetti lounging on the porch and thought, “If she can do it, so can I!” So, Winky mustered up all her courage and ventured out by herself. And, just like Confetti, she made sure to scream at everyone who dared to walk by on the street. Clearly, bravery runs in the family.
