Catching up on videos! Here a quick clip of Samson at the end of week one. He responded really well to the Ecollar but definitely isn’t winning awards for the fasted dog 😂. Samson is still looking for an experienced foster or adopter through Viz Whizz Dogs Rescue

This beauty is storm! I have worked with a few of her mom’s dogs in the past. Honestly I have worked with her mom almost my whole career , and I am always so appreciative to have people that trust me with their dogs over years even as new ones join their family. Storm is here to work on leash manners and a good Ecollar foundation. She is sweet and spunky!

As you know, Sampson is here through Viz Whizz Dogs Rescue they are not a local rescue but helped coordinate placing a dog locally. Once he was in the home, it was clear it was not a good fit so I was contacted to do some training with Samson as well as evaluate what will be the best type of home for him. Often times this is one of the most important parts about an important train is being completely transparent, and honest about who the dog is and what they’re capable of not capable of. Sampson would be best suited for a quiet home. That’s not very busy. He has had a history with some behavior behavioral issues with his original owner and I will dive into those soon.

Meet Samson! This boy is 5 years old and is available for adoption through Viz Whizz Dogs Rescue. He was sent to us to evaluate what kind of home would best suit his needs and get some training that would set him up for success.

Samson will need and experienced low key home as he is not a dog suited for a home with a lot of commotion.

He loves hiking and going for walks but is also happy to just hang around.

Some more on Samson coming soon along with videos and more photos.

Back with more cutie pie Maple! Her awesome owners were already using the prong collar for leash walking so the past couple days I have just been working on her learning to move with the leash and give to prong collar pressure for her other commands as well. She is picking up on it pretty quick and will be ready to move to the Ecollar soon.

Meet Maple!!! She is a 9mo old Golden here to work on some confidence building and basic Ecollar foundation. So far she is a really sweet girl and I am so looking forward to working with her. I loooooove working with dogs between the age of 6-10 months. It is such a great time to lay a foundation. They generally are figuring out the rules and boundaries at this age but are old enough to retain a lot of information. While yes they are still goofy puppies at this age it really sets them up for long term success.

I am extremely saddened to say that yesterday Sheila passed. I don’t even know how to explain the grief. All of my dogs have been a huge part of my life but Sheila changed my life. She lead me to a career that I didn’t see coming. She took me from the path of veterinary medicine to the world of dog training. Oddly enough she did not help with the pet photography as she was alway up to something crazy so looking back I seem to have more videos of her than photos. She was an incredible dog with a personality that was unmatched by any dog I had ever met. She taught me so much and helped rehab countless dogs with a demeanor that couldn’t be trained it was just a natural born gift. To say I am going to miss her would be an understatement. She had a life full of adventure. I am going to miss you my crazy girl thank you for everything you taught me.
