Good news can’t be shared too much 🥰 We are thrilled to share that Chiquita has found a home!!! She patiently waited at the Del Norte pound for over a year, and she attended many of our adoption events hoping to find her people. This awesome girl is going to be so loved in her new home!!

Mags is fostered in Vancouver, WA and she’d love to find a family! She is 52 lbs and about 2.5 years old. We think she is a Pittie/Lab Mix and she loves walks, playing ball, treats, kids & butt scratches. We’ve learned lots about Mags in her foster home, including that she seems to know all of her basic manners! Mags is also crate trained & potty trained. She has been practicing her leash manners and she looks to her handler for direction and affirmation!

Mags is a great girl, and her foster reports she is so sweet. She has adjusted very well to the new environment at her foster home, and she has been very loving. Mags likes her active time but she is also an excellent snuggler! She takes treats very nicely & is a kid friendly girl. Mags is dog selective, but she has done well making some dog friends & we will help you introduce her to see if it is a good fit if you have a dog. She would prefer a home without a cat.

Where are our GSD lovers? Meet Leela! This girl was brought to the pound after being found tied up at a local business. She has been human and dog friendly. She definitely has all the puppy energy and needs to be taught boundaries and socialization when meeting dogs. Leela is an in your face player type player, which can annoy some dogs. Leela is potty trained & working on her leash manners. She will be getting her road assessment, cat & crate assessment soon. Leela is at that pivotal time for training…she can either be a great dog or a velociraptor that’s up to her new owner. She needs discipline & needs to be exercised both physically and mentally. She would do great with a job or a very active lifestyle!

✳️passed kid test but older kids best
✳️takes treats nicely

Meet BeeGee! This little lady has lots to offer. She’s potty trained, house trained & crate trained and just the right medium size. She passed her cat testing too! BeeGee loves walks (she has leash manners), going to the beach and playing fetch…she will even bring the ball back to you.

Meet Zander! This big boy is all about the next adventure and hanging out. He passed his kid test & has made dog friends! They squeezed this big guy into a crate and he just chilled out & took a break. He was pretty interested when meeting the cat, so he’s going to be tested again.

Zander has so much to offer. He is currently looking for an adventure buddy or a family to call his own.

✳️strong boy but learning leash manners

Meet Nova! This gal has been the Del Norte office dog and takes her job very seriously. She comes with judgey looks and will attempt to brow beat you into sharing your lunch with her. Nova played hooky last week from the pound and hit the town with one of their handlers. This was the report back. “Nova loaded easily and rode very quietly. She enjoyed exploring on the beach and in true Husky fashion, met and greeted all persons and dogs respectfully with an everyone is my best friend attitude. Nova improved on her recall each time she was asked, especially with a good scratching at the dock of her curled tail as reward. Her yoga stretches at the park were quite entertaining to watch. When asked, Nova walked right next to her handlers side throughout town at her handlers pace, not once pulling. Her excellent leash manners allowed her to be the first pound dog to visit the Gift Shop and she maneuvered through like a champ. This is a really good girl who will be a family favorite once settled into a loving home.”

✅puts herself to bed in her crate & naps with the crate door open
✅passed her kid testing
✅needs a no cat home

Our Story.

We are a group of dedicated dog rescuers. Milagros, meaning miracle is the name of two dogs that have been rescued from Mexico, it was a miracle they made it to the PNW into our loving homes! We have all helped rescue dogs in many different ways, from fostering, escorting, advocating, transporting, you name it. After some discussions amongst each other, we decided, why not start our own rescue. So, here we are, dedicating ourselves to rescuing Mexican Street Dogs, we take them in off the streets, saves them from life threatening conditions, then once they are healed, fixed, and vaccinated, they can then fly to the PNW.
