Legislative WIN for animals in California!

We’re proud to share that ALL FIVE of San Diego Humane Society’s sponsored bills have successfully passed out of their house of origin — meaning they’re continuing to move forward for consideration!

✅ AB 506 – Cracks down on deceptive pet sales
✅ AB 516 – Expands access to veterinary care by allowing trained vet techs to do more
✅ AB 519 – Bans pet brokering that enables puppy mills
✅ SB 312 – Brings transparency to imported puppy sales
✅ SB 602 – Increases veterinary access in underserved communities

Together, if fully passed, these bills will help shut down the puppy mill pipeline and ensure animals and pet families have access to the care they deserve.
