Today was honestly such a gorgeous day - we headed off to where the sun was shining ☀️
My lovely horses travelled great, unloaded and walked either side of me - I love that they make it easy to bring them anywhere!
We bumped into one of our besties who wished us luck. We caught up with so many lovely people.🥰
After 6/7 months off I managed 3 qualifying scores out of 4 tests - I missed the fourth by 0.06% which is nearly impressive 😂 Oisin and I were second in one class ☺️ congrats to on the win! was in the same boat as me having not competed since last summer and she and her gorgeous Jazz rocked it 🥰 we didn’t do too bad for two spatially challenged rusty riders 💪
Thank you so much for all the help on training on getting my horses going and looking so well! I think we both know after today we will have a few things to work on - I say we but I mean me as all mistakes were mine not the horses!
I also was also utterly blown away by the kindness of two people today. loaned me her stables for the day. Just because she knew it would make my life easier and because she knew I would worry about Oisin missing Sammy in the box (he can be a bit needy 😅) so Lynn being Lynn she just gave me stables for the day. Along with texting me to make sure I got on the road and didn’t get distracted and that I was ok and wish me luck.
As for where do I start?! She looked after me for stables, she loaned me a jacket when I forgot my own (yes I’m THAT stupid), she helped me get ready, she helped me in the warm up, she stood and watched my test, she helped swap over horses - she did all of this for no reason other than she knew I was heading up on my own with two horses and four tests and she wanted to. This is what makes our sport so great - people helping each other up!
After some great fun at (stay tuned for more on an exciting new release!), I hit the road home and I’m ready to go do it all again tomorrow ☺️
