‼️⚠️‼️‼️⚠️‼️
As beautiful as bluebells look and yes, we all want pics of them……this is a little warning to let you know that they are toxic!!
The whole plant including the bulb, flowers, and leaves, contain a toxin that can affect the heart.
Ingestion can cause gastrointestinal upset, including vomiting and diarrhoea, and in rare cases, can lead to more serious issues like heart irregularities.
Also when bluebells are trampled on, they take at least five years to regenerate……so another reason to tread carefully.
Please take care furiends
