We have a special plea this morning! Twiggy needs a final home....
Twiggy once had a family—a place she knew by scent and sound more than sight. You see, Twiggy has low vision, which made the world a blur of shadows and whispers. But even in the haze, she could sense love. Then, one day, everything changed. A quiet goodbye, unfamiliar hands, and suddenly, Twiggy found herself in a shelter. The smells were sharp, the sounds loud, and everything felt uncertain. Her little heart trembled as she tried to make sense of the new world around her.
But just when it felt like the shadows would win, a pair of gentle voices entered her life—foster parents with soft hands and kind hearts. We don’t see her limitations; we saw her spirit. We knelt to her level, learned her language of touch and sound, and gave her a name she hadn’t heard in a while “Sweet girl”
Twiggy blossomed. She learned the rhythm of her temporary foster home—the creak of the kitchen floor, the jingle of keys, the warmth of snuggles on the couch. She may not see much, but she felt everything. Love became her compass.
Now, Twiggy greets each day with tail wags and cautious steps, no longer unsure—just curious. The blur hasn’t disappeared, but the fear has. And in the arms our arms, Twiggy found more than safety. Twiggy would definitely prefer a home where someone is there most of the time. Could that home be yours?
Twiggy is around 12 years, and 15 lbs, She is spayed, vaccinated, treated for her skin, bloodwork completed and received a dental while in rescue but she does have an a**l mass which is why she is now considered "hospice". If you think you can give this sweet girl her final chapter please email [email protected]
