🚨Exciting News from The LoveAlot Homestead🚨
We’re thrilled to announce that our sweet mini Goldendoodle, Piper, is expecting a litter of puppies! We anticipate their arrival the first week of June, and they’ll be ready to go to their forever homes around the last week of July.

If you’re interested in one of our adorable, family-raised puppies, send us a message—we’d love to chat! These pups are raised right in our home with lots of love and care, and they tend to find their new families quickly!🐶🐶

My name is Shellie and I’m the face behind The LoveAlot Homestead. I’ve been married to my wonderful husband Matt for 19 years and I’m a homeschool mom to our three kids, Jacob(14),Elizabeth (10),Silas(5). For the past seven years, our family has been dedicated to raising mini Poodles and Doodles with love and care. Our dogs are not just pets; they are part of our home and daily lives.

We currently have three female dogs—Jinger, our retired mini Poodle, and Piper and Ember, our playful and affectionate mini Goldendoodles. Every puppy we raise is nurtured right in our home, surrounded by love, socialization, and plenty of hands-on care. Our children play a big role in their daily routine, helping to ensure each puppy is well-adjusted and ready for their new family.

Raising puppies is a true joy for us. Watching them grow, develop their personalities, and eventually find their forever homes is an incredibly rewarding experience. It’s our goal to provide families with puppies that are well-equipped for a smooth transition into their new lives. We love seeing the happiness that a new puppy brings, and we take great pride in knowing we’ve helped create that special bond.

After an attack on our flock this past fall, we decided to take some time before bringing in new birds. Yesterday, we welcomed 20 Buckeye cross chickens to the homestead! It feels so good to have chickens back and to hear the sounds of the coop again.
This makes me so excited for Spring! 🐔🐥

Just made some sourdough bagels! I accidentally let the dough sit on the counter ALL day long—whoops! 🤦🏽‍♀️ But they turned out amazing! My mother-in-law, Rhonda, used to put cream cheese, ham, and famous Dave’s sweet and spicy pickles on bagels, and it’s become my absolute favorite way to eat them. Highly recommend giving it a try!

Getting in kitchen with my kids to make snow cream is one of our favorite winter traditions here at The LoveAlot Homestead!

Step 1: Gather the Snow The kids head outside to collect 8 cups of fresh snow!
Step 2: Mix the Ingredients Back inside, we mix the snow with a 14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk, 1/4 cup of heavy cream, and a splash of vanilla, stirring until creamy. Some of us add sprinkles, some add Oreos and others add chocolate syrup.
Step 3: Taste and Adjust We each take a quick taste, adding more vanilla or cream if needed.
Step 4: Enjoy with a Movie With bowls of snow cream in hand, we cozy up to watch "The Lord of the Rings," enjoying the sweet treat and epic adventure together.

Today was a good bake day. I’ve been trying my hand at same-day sourdough, and I LOVE it. There’s something so satisfying about starting and finishing a loaf in just a few hours, from mixing the dough to pulling that golden, crusty loaf out of the oven. The flavor is still complex, the crumb soft and airy, and the whole process feels so rewarding. It’s definitely becoming a favorite of mine!
