It’s Monday, and that means it’s time to review our weekly budget!
For the week of October 28th to November 1st:
- We need to get (4) more flea medications for $40.
- Wini has a recheck appointment for her skin on November 8th at 8:30 AM at the Animal Medical Clinic of Prattville (Downtown location) for $80.
- The ear mite treatment and cleanse will be $17.
- We also need to stock up on litter and wet cat food.
Let’s take a moment to celebrate what’s already been taken care of!
- Frosty, Emma, and Winifred are all SPONSORED for their spay appointments!
- Thanks to last week’s monetary donations, we’ve covered dry food for two weeks, (5) FVRCP vaccines, and (5) flea treatments!
Hey everyone!
This week has been a bit of a whirlwind, and I'm falling behind on the budget. My apologies! It’s only Wednesday, and it feels like a marathon already! Here’s what I’m currently juggling:
- Winifred: Spay & Rabies SPONSORED <3 . Flea medication $10 (I buy in bulk), FVRCP Booster & Skin condition recheck $60 (Scheduled for 11/8 at 8:30 AM with Dr. Trotter at the Animal Medical Clinic of Prattville - Downtown location)
- Nash, Vera, Boomer, and Bennett are due for their FVRCP booster, which is $25.
- Flea meds for Doyle and her four little ones will cost $50.
- Frosty (the tripod we assisted a while back) and her sister Emma need sponsors since their mom is on a fixed income and qualifies for grants. It’s $50 for both of them.
I’m also covering costs for flea medication, ear mite treatment, wet and dry food, and litter.
I’m funding this all myself, and it adds up quickly. I don’t receive grants or special pricing yet, but Chrissy and I are so close to getting our 501(c)(3)!
I’m incredibly grateful for any donations, supplies, or monetary contributions, no matter the size. I truly can’t do this alone. I started this rescue to get the 501 and to help all the furry friends in need while rallying community support. Running and funding a rescue is a big task for one person!
A HUGE thank you to all the supporters, donors, volunteers, and everyone who shares our posts. You all are amazing! <3
Hi there, friends!
I’m excited to share this week’s budget estimate with you!
Right now, I have $121 of the $175 needed for a spay and neuter procedure scheduled for tomorrow. The flea treatments are due on the 22nd, priced at $14 for two doses, and I need 7 doses for small cats and 3 for larger ones for our foster cats and those waiting for adoption.
- Meatwad’s costs are all taken care of (neuter, FIV test, and FIV & rabies vaccinations).
- We’ve also received a generous food donation!
I want to be open with our community about these expenses. Running a rescue is a big task that requires support, and I hope this helps everyone understand that it takes a village—and funding—to make a difference for these animals, which is what truly matters.

Beans is doing good !
He got started on dewormer today... If he will ever let me get close enough, I'll get him on flea medicine as well.
He still comes around and eats everyday. He's forgiven us for holding him hostage for two weeks lolol
Meatwad update !
The day I tried to trap him, the latch didn't catch and he got loose.... BUT, I have been able to clean his wound when he comes by for feeding daily and it's doing much better. Still looks gross, but it's drained and trying to scab..I'm doing what I can to keep it clean to prevent infection. He won't be still long enough to cut that scab that's hanging off ( it was from when it was abscessed) so it's just going to have to fall off as he heals.
He's our next friend that I intend to neuter and hopefully adopt out. He's not really on the feral side, more on the stray side so I have a strong feeling he will come around to being a house cat.
He wouldn't make a good working/barn cat bc he's the literal definition of a scare-dy cat lol
As always, I can't do it without help .
If you're interested in helping through donations, sponsorship or even fostering after his procedure please contact me . It's always greatly appreciated 🙏🏼

BEANS IS A FREE MAN!
Thank you River Region Animal Rescue for saving this baby 🙏🏼💖
They got him to the vet and provided me with the tools needed for his rescue 😀💕
I know he's happy as can be and it probably feels good to run.
Was a long 3 weeks for that baby, but he's got another chance at life 🌞
