Please share Comet & Boo! I'm shocked that these two have not received any applications yet.
Their former mom couldn't take care of them anymore due to personal medical issues, so she surrendered them to us. They are soooo sweet. 2-3 year old females. They are bonded so must be adopted together. Their medical papers say they are Siberian, but we do not have any official papers saying that they are pure bred, so we are gonna go ahead and say they are a mix. SOOO beautiful nonetheless.

These babies love to cuddle up on the bed with their foster family and love their toys and of course, food :) Please share these two cutie pies so we can find their forever!

🎉INCREDIBLE NEWS

Emmy met a new family this evening. Everything felt so perfect. The family felt 1000% comfortable finishing up her antibiotics and bringing her to her follow up. So… EMMY WAS ADOPTED TONIGHT!!!!!!

I didn’t even get a chance to post her on petfinder. I knew whoever met her was going to love her, but I didn’t expect to KNOW with my whole heart that it was the right fit. I am so beyond proud of our miracle girl. A week ago we weren’t sure she was going to make it. And now, her labs are perfect and she is just thriving. Her new family will continue her current med regimen and keep us updated.

So very happy for our girl. Happy gotcha day, Emmy girl 😍❤️🫶🏻

Emmy update! I brought her to get follow up bloodwork done yesterday. It came back great!! She is no longer anemic and her platelets have returned to normal! What an incredible comeback. Cats are so damn resilient. We didn’t think she was going to survive the night. And here she is… thriving. 1 more follow up in 2 weeks when she’s done with her antibiotics but after that, she will be eligible for adoption. 🥹🥰🫶🏻

Our little miracle Emmy is home! She has shocked the entire vet staff and is doing well! I was told by multiple staff at that the entire medical staff was tending to her when she had surgery. Such an odd case with a slim chance of survival. But her fever broke and her inflammation is lessening. We will continue her regimen of meds to try and get her through this! She’s not out of the woods yet. She does still have a bit of anemia and her platelets are low. She will return to the vet on Monday for another bloodwork check to make sure she’s going in the right direction! Thank you so much to everyone who has helped with Emmy’s bill! We will still need a bit more to cover all of her medical needs. Today’s bill was ~$1,600. $350 coming out of my personal bank account and draining the rescue account. Monday will be another $175. Please help if you can ❤️ on Venmo (MAKE SURE TO SELECT THE ACCOUNT UNDER THE CHARITIES TAB!!!) [email protected] on PayPal ❤️❤️

Asking for prayers and some assistance for our sweet Emmy.
This is a longish story - if you don't wanna read, the summary is that we may lose Emmy and we need help to continue to fight for her. (donation links at the bottom of this post)

We took Emmy in from the NYC ACC recently as she was labeled as "late-term pregnant". We were becoming increasingly concerned in the last few days over her symptoms that were not leading to active labor. We had Emmy seen yesterday to make sure everything is ok. Sadly, Emmy is not believed to have any viable kittens.

She was seen to have a pretty bad uterine infection and needed an emergency spay. It was scheduled for Thursday. We brought her back to the vet for the day today for them to give her fluids and monitor her so Alicia & I could go to work. They miraculously had their schedule open up so they could do Emmy's spay. Amazing.

Our happiness quickly faded when we received an update after surgery that her uterus had perforated and the infection had spread. They have done everything they can to clean out her abdomen but the case is quite grim. We aren’t ready to stop fighting for this sweet girl, and we won't. We are already in the pitt with money and continuing her inpatient stay is going to put us even deeper.

She is currently stable and being watched. If she makes it through the next 24-48 hours, she just may be ok. Please pray for our girl.

We are hopeful her story touches some hearts and we can receive some help to cover her bills. Yesterday's appointment was about $350, I am assuming today's will be the same. Then her spay tomorrow could run us up to $1800 if she ends up having pyometra (possibility but not clear).

You can donate via paypal - [email protected]
Or Venmo - under "charities"
You can also call Prospect Vet at (203) 758-6601 and pay towards our ever-growing bill.
If you'd like to send a check, please message me for our address.

A happy post to break up the sadness that has been the last 48 hours.

Marco came into our rescue when our friends at reached out and said they had a client who was asking them to euthanize their cat because he wasn’t getting along with their new puppy and peeing outside the box.

We accepted him with open arms. Marco has happily been blossoming into a calm loving (continent) boy in his enclosure for months upon months. The staff at River valley have been caring for him for almost a year now while we hunted for his new home.

After almost a year in boarding, MARCO WENT HOME TODAY. I could not be more happy for him. Thank you to his new family for opening their hearts to give this boy a happy forever. ❤️

…and some for hours… 💔 I’m sorry I couldn’t save you. Rest in peace, tiny Cashew.

WE ARE IN DESPERATE NEED OF FOSTER HOMES. We currently have 3 very pregnant mamas about to pop and the following kitties really need help. please please reach out if you can give a small space in your home to save some lives.

Slide 1: babies waiting to be transported up to CT from a partner rescue. They will come up early May. They got the first slide because kittens get the most attention.

Slide 2: Pia was being boarded in a cage for months. She is doing so well in her foster home but the resident kitty is stressed to say the least. Even with her in her own room. Her foster mama is so heartbroken but I always say that resident kitties HAVE to come first. So we are trying to find sweet Pia a new foster home ❤️

Slide 3: 2 babies left behind when their family moved out. They are so beautiful and so confused and scared. They need somewhere to go. Landlord is threatening to throw them outside where they will not survive.

Slide 4: these two long haired beauties are about to lose their home due to their mama being in the hospital. 💔 looking for a place for them to be loved and warm.

Please send us a message if you’re interested in helping us out! We are about to be overrun!

The sweetest girl who loves to burrow in blankets!

Looking for a forever for our sweet little Pia! From a loving home, to boarding in a cage at the vet to seeing and feeling the love again in her foster home, Pia has been so sweet through it all. Please share our girl so we can find her a comfy place to lay her head forever!

From Pia's foster mama:

"I'm trying to find Pia her Forever home asap because I can tell she spent her whole life in a loving home with a person of her own and she sooo deserves and wants that again.

She's 10.5 years old with tons of life and love still left to give.
She would make the ultimate "library cat" for a tween/teen/young adult reader. Maybe a young person going through a tough stage that could use that extra loving from Sweet P plus that sense of purpose and responsibility!
Do you know someone who has lost a pet? Maybe they don't need the excitement of a kitten.. and Pia would not intend to replace anyone, just love you through the hurt. She is hurting as well after losing her human and life as she knew it.. but has shown her foster family that her heart is very much still open!
She would prefer a calm and gentle home. Other animals are not a deal breaker, just depends on their personalities and your ability to keep her seperate and follow a slow intro process 🙂

Update on biscuit (formerly honeycomb)!

Hes been on treatment for FIP for about 2 weeks now and Is doing great! His blood work Is starting to Improve and the fluid In his belly Is almost all gone! He is going to require at least montly bloodwork and a few more ultrasounds and we are already quite In the hole from getting him back to stable.

His new family graciously created this gofundme to help offset somee of these costs. Take home Medication alone has been $1,000. Diagnostics have been around $4,000. Please consider donating a few dollars if you can to help us save biscuit. ❤️

We are all so hopeful that he will beat this once always fatal disease. ❤️

My daughter spent months looking for a cat to adopt. Finally, on February 15… Oksana Petsukh needs your support for Help Biscuit Beat FIP: Donate for His Cure

Please read and share.
On February 15, our sweet Honeycomb went home to start his happy forever. On February 25, we were alerted he had stopped eating and had fluid in his abdomen.

He has been diagnosed with FIP. In the past, this was ALWAYS a death sentence.

Luckily, in recent years, meds have been approved for use in the US that have a 99% cure rate.

The meds are $1500 for 84 days of treatment. Our rescue is paying.

We have already spent $1300 to diagnose and he will require MANY appointments to ensure his recovery.

Honeycomb deserves this chance.
His family deserves to have their happy, silly, boy back.

We need your help. Can you be one of Honeycomb's Heroes?

We are setting a goal of $3,000 which is low in all honesty. Facebook takes 90 days to deliver donations so we are trying it differently.

Looking for a foster or forever home for this lady. Don't let Pia's grumpy face fool you, she is a sweet girl. She is about 10.5 years old and is ready for a second chance at a home life. ❤️

Pia has been living in boarding at our vet for many months now, waiting for a foster home to open up. She was surrendered when her family couldn't care for her any longer. We've had her all vetted and gave her teeth a good scrub down and she is ready to get the heck out of the cage!!

She would be content just about anywhere and does not require much, just food, water, a soft place to lay, some toys, and some love. Can anyone please help us break Pia out of her cage???
