Genetic testing for Bluetongue morphs is currently in progress, though it remains relatively costly. This kind of verification is urgently needed worldwide, as some unethical breeders continue to claim the creation of new morphs without providing proof, and the exceptionally high percentage rates they advertise are often unrealistic. The most controversial morphs at the moment are the Moonglow and the so-called visual 4 gene, both of which appear identical to the visual 2 gene morph, known as the Sunglow. Our Platinum line produces morphs with exceptionally clean white coloring, as well as any morph containing the white gene. As I have advised before, please exercise caution—there is a real risk you may not be getting what you’re paying for.

The Calypso (Platinum albino),the morph shown here from birth to adult. When first produced in December 2017, we initially thought it was a variant morph of the lava. Upon further testing by breeding trials it was confirmed to be the visual triple het Platinum albino. This season we hope to produce many more offspring as we have since then, of this signature Bluetonguemorphs creation.

Two spectacular white morphs. The red eyed animal is a Sunglow ( albino hypo) and the black eyed animal is an Alabaster ( anery hypo). Unfortunately some have posted red eyed animals which are examples of the Sunglow as everything from that to Moonglow and 4 gene visual without any having been proven out. Sad that the morph hobby has gone down this muddy road. Caveat emptor - buyer please be aware you could be buying a Sunglow disguised as something else.

I have the best white bluetongues so naturally I need the best white snake. Beautiful female Snow/Moonglow from .com.au. Unlike some in the bluetongue game, he confronts the ethical issues of those selling named morphs with no breeding having been done to prove the morph out. .com.au .smith.khp

Two albino females. Shows how we have bred different characteristics from right a pure eastern albino for colour and on the left a Mareeba albino het white. The Mareeba influence creates an animal 2x the size of the smaller pure eastern albino.
