This is going to be a long post, but this information needs to be spread as far and wide as we can get it to go. So please read, please share, please send a healing vibe, good thought, prayer or whatever other heartfelt positive energy you care to.
Cassie (Cassidy) Berkheimer and Rachael feaster have allowed OVER 50 poor innocent animals to die what only sounds like slow, agonizing, horrific deaths.
This is also only the beginning numbers, who knows what the actual numbers are!!
I will start with our boy, Kahlua.
Kahlua was a male red and white piebald pup born to Luna and Ollie’s final litter on September 9th 2023 he was a beautiful and sweet boy.
We as always, went through the process of making sure his potential home was a good one.
Application, lots of conversations, questions, vetting, a contract in place.
References were provided and checked into, including their vet.
Current videos and pics of potential to be fur siblings, current vet records etc.
we homed this baby with Cassie and Rachael of Altoona PA.
We had extensive conversations with these girls, we thought that this boy was truly going to be spoiled beyond belief.
On the evening of May 9th we were informed from Cassidy that they left Kahlua with a “friend” while they were out of town for a birthday party for a few days but that when they picked him up from there, something wasn’t right.
They needed to get him to the ER vet but needed to gather the funds first.
Supposedly once there he was given fluids and then I heard nothing until the next morning when I was told he had to be euthanized.
Our hearts were broken. This poor little one was only 8 months old!!!
We were then told an autopsy was going to be performed. On May 16th I was informed that they were going to court.
That the autopsy came back that he had internal bleeding and “never stood a chance”
Said that the “friends” were being charged with cruelty and aggravated cruelty to animals.
She continued to express her anger with these “friends” her sadness and her grief. We felt terrible for her, for them.
On June 8th she expressed interest in a pup we still had available but that she needed to talk to her wife. On June 9th she shared that they were thinking of the name Ember…….. keep this name in mind.
On the morning June 11th she asked about placing a deposit. (No deposit was ever made)
On the evening of June 11th she backs out.
I was told their home just caught on fire that they lost everything and all their pets but one.
I was told that neither of them were home and that the dogs turned the stove on.
I can’t say I wasn’t suspicious, I continued to look up things about this “fire” I couldn’t find anything. All I knew was something felt off.
The next day I did discover the PA fire department did report a fire at the home but no further information was given.
On Monday June 24th a post was shared with me that exposed the DISGUISTING, SICK AND SAD truth.

Cassidy and Rachel have committed far to many accounts of animal cruelty and neglect, plain and simple.
We DO NOT believe for a second that any “friend” killed Kahlua, we DO NOT believe that the “dogs started the stove”
We believe that Kahlua was abused and neglected by them.
Hannah later informed me that she spoke with the vet Kahlua was at and he was never treated as he was never alive!!!
We also find it VERY ironic that just days before this house fire that they wanted to name a pup “Ember” 🤔
The stories though……. The quickness that these LIES were made up!!!!! The fact that I really think she believed the things she said.
There was one surviving baby, Akoa. If only we could get the true story from him. The hurt and pain and suffering of the home he came from.
They did foster another husky named Max, and Max needs help guys!
Max was removed from the home a week prior to the fire due to his lack of care.
Max needs lots of medical attention that Cassidy and Rachael were failing to provide.

Something needs to be done, Kahlua needs justice.
All of these poor animals deserve justice. DO NOT let these people get their hands on another animals EVER again!!
