A couple of weeks ago, a customer stopped in after picking up her first foster dog from the Dekalb County shelter. This story represents the heart and soul of City Dog. Read the story below. 🧡👇
“I was overwhelmed as this was my first foster dog and she looked pitiful. I asked your staff (Liz and Meghan) for waterless shampoo and instead they kindly shared that the bath bays were available so they offered to help me give her a free bath. Liz and Meghan patiently put Boogie at ease and she was so happy to get attention after months of being overlooked.
After getting all fresh and clean, Meghan and Liz gave us some recently donated toys and a few treats. This visit to City Dog was such a positive experience for me and Boogie who needed to decompress to feel safe. Meghan and Liz recognized us when we returned last week to stock up on food, meal toppers, and of course a new toy for Boogie! She has progressed in such a short time away from the shelter and they showered her with love all over again. They are exceptional employees who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. You can tell they love their job by how well they communicate with customers and canines alike. I live in Edgewood but City Dog is now my go to for all things pet related. With much gratitude, Maureen and Boogie!”
