Ms. Waffles had her follow up appointment today. Her incisions are healing wonderfully and she is done with antibiotics as of today! So glad this sweet momma is doing so great and her babies are all growing like expected!

Sweet girl is home! 🩷
Waffles is back with her babies and soaking up all the love. We have the puppies in a cozy tote next to her and will rotate them out every hour so she can love on them without getting too overwhelmed. We’ll be keeping a close eye on her incision this week to make sure everything heals perfectly.

Thank you all so much for the love, prayers, and good thoughts for Waffles — these babies are so happy to have their momma close again. 🐾💕

Brisket's mom sent me his birthday picture and I had to share it! So stinking cute! Brisket is a puppy from Waffles and Ranger, the same pairing for the sweet babies I am feeding while waffles recovers.

Update on Waffles 🐾❤️

Thank you all so much for the love, prayers, and kind messages — it really means the world to us! 💕

We went back to the vet this morning for a second X-ray, and unfortunately, the obstruction hadn’t moved much. So Miss Waffles had to go in for surgery around noon today. The vet just called and said everything went great — she’s out of surgery, awake, and doing well! 🙏

(And for those wondering what caused it… turns out the culprit was a pair of our little girl’s shredded-up undies 😅).

If all goes well, Waffles will be able to come home Monday — but if she gets too anxious being away from her babies, she might come home tomorrow. 🐶💞

In the meantime, her puppies will need to be bottle-fed every couple of hours since they’re just a week old. Sooo I’m stocking up on caffeine and praying these tiny cuties learn to love their bottles quickly! ☕🍼🐾

Hey Rockin R Doodle families. We could use your positive thoughts and prayers for one of our very special mommas. Waffles started throwing up this morning and we took her in to the vet for a check up. Waffles had an X-Ray done and she has an obstruction. We suspect it is a half eaten pair of little girls underwear she snuck from my daughter's room a couple days ago. She received sub-q fluids, anti-nausea meds, and bland wet food to see if she can pass it. They want to recheck with an x-ray in the morning. If it has not moved, she will be going in to surgery. So please send all positive thoughts and prayers her way.

I received an incredibly sweet message from a Rockin R Doodle family and was given permission to share it. Messages like these warm my heart and make saying good-bye to these sweet babies a little bit easier. Waffles retirement litter will be born in about 3 weeks and will go home in December.

"Hi Kassie! I just wanted to share a picture with you of our Theo! Today is his and his siblings 3rd birthday! They are the September 17, 2022 litter of Waffles and Loki!!

Theo is the SWEETEST most lovable boy ever. He doesn’t know an enemy. He’s calm and loves to be rubbed. His favorite things are walks in the neighborhood and car rides. He has been a blessing to our family since the day we brought him home. Thank you for loving your dogs and their health and quality of life! You are have bred some amazing healthy puppies and we appreciate you and the love, care, time and commitment you take in all these babies and their parents.

We love our boy to pieces and we hope all his siblings are getting loved and cared for just like he is. Thank you Kassie!🫶🏾"
