🎅🐾 Santa really outdid himself this year… 🐾🎅

Finn’s Christmas wish list was short—but mighty:
✔️ A furever home
✔️ A canine sister to play with
✔️ A big family to love him endlessly

And just like that… wish granted. ✨

This happy boy didn’t just find his forever—he landed a four-human family and a built-in best friend!

Merry Christmas, sweet Finn. Go live your very best life. 🎄🐶

So many thanks to this incredible community. 💙
Because of you, our See’s Candy fundraiser raised nearly $700—and that support is already making a real difference.

Right now, Maverick is safe. He spends his days surrounded by his favorite stuffies and his nights curled up next to his foster mom. Your generosity has made his vet visits and transport possible, giving him the care and stability he needs—and moving him a few paws closer to his happily ever after.

We’re also deeply grateful for the support of our calendar contest and new online store. Every order, every share, every kind word helps us say “yes” when dogs like Maverick need us most.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to keep the love going. 💝
We’ll be launching another See’s Candy fundraiser starting January 1 for Valentine’s Day, and our next calendar contest will return in spring 2026. Stay tuned—we can’t wait to share what’s next with you.

Thank you for believing in rescue, for supporting this work, and for being part of the journey—from uncertain beginnings to hopeful futures. 🐾💙

NORAD says Santa’s on the way… and rumor has it he upgraded his reindeer to Newfs 🎅🐾

We know one thing for sure—none of our rescue pups are on the naughty list and our followers have only good boys and girls too.

From our rescue family to yours, Merry Christmas Eve!

🚨EMERGENCY FOSTER NEEDED — 8 DAYS ONLY🚨
📅 Dec 20–Dec 28

Meet Maverick — a gentle giant who has already had too many goodbyes. 💔He's currently in a shelter that has agreed to release him to CNR but we need an temporary foster in MD, VA, DC to give him a soft place to land from 12/20-12/28. We have a permanent foster lined up starting 12/28.

What little we know about Maverick:
• 6–7 years old
• ~130 lbs of calm
• Housebroken
• Easygoing, affectionate, and people-focused
• Needs a fenced yard (apartments and condos considered)
• Truly just wants to be loved and treasured

He’s not asking for forever — just a soft place to land for the holidays. 🎄

CNR will provide support, food, crate, toys, etc. — you provide the home.

This one week could change the rest of his life.

🙏 If you can foster, know someone who can, or even want to learn more:

Let’s not make Maverick wait any longer.
Let’s bring him into rescue — and into hope. 💙🐾

We know you’re already spoiling your own pup this holiday season… why not double the joy?

When you buy dog treats from Newfoundland Coffee Company, one bag is donated to CNR (be sure to specify us when you checkout!)

That means extra goodies for Luna Rae, Daisy, Beau, Finn, Dunkin, Odin—or even the next Newf to come into rescue (imagine their surprise when there’s already a bag of treats waiting just for them! 🎁🐶).

💬 Comment with the name of the CNR pup you’d like to spoil, and we’ll make sure their “extra treats” go to the right dog.

👉 Order here and mention CNR at checkout:

Surrendered multiple times before he was even a year old, River came to CNR for a reset. Now, 2.5 years later, he’s the stunning, snow-strutting bear he was always meant to be, thriving in the forever home he always deserved. River’s glow-up is what rescue is all about.

Show us your rescue glow-up and snow strutting newfs in the comments below!

EDITED TO ADD: it has come to our attention that Daisy has snuck into Beau's post.... Guess she wanted a little more attention!

Say hi to Beau — the sweetest gentleman with a puppy’s heart. This handsome boy may be 6 but he's still playful, and full of that Newf energy we all adore.

Some adjectives used by hoomans who have had the pleasure of meeting him: he was an absolute delight — affectionate, gentle, and just so happy to be around his people. Sweet, “wonderful,” and eager to please (we could keep going but I think you get the idea). 🐾 Great with other dogs — loves to run and play! (maybe not so great with cats for the exact same reason)🐾 Unknown with kids, but we think he'll be the same absolute delight he is with the taller hoomans. Like most of us, he could use a little leash-refresher.

If you’ve been hoping for a loyal, goofy, big-hearted companion, Beau just might be your guy. 💙

🌼 Meet Daisy — She’s a classic daisy: classy, lovely, and impossible not to adore. Not a high-maintenance hothouse flower—just pure beauty and grace wrapped in 100 pounds (give or take - we'd never ask a lady to disclose her weight) of gentle sweetness.

Some dogs are like orchids—delicate, complicated, and particular about every little thing.
Not Daisy. She’s the one you reach for first: warm, grounded, steady, and endlessly sweet.

Daisy will plant herself in your home with that quiet confidence of a dog who simply belongs. She’s wonderful with dogs, and kids, and her overall vibe is best described as “easy companionship.” She doesn’t demand anything from you—she just shows up every day with soft eyes, a calm presence, and a and a warmth that makes you feel lucky she chose you.

In a world full of orchids… be a Daisy.
