Freckles the Pit Freckles here! I'm looking for my forever home so I thought that I would try this whole "Facebook" thing! Hi, I'm Freckles! I hope it happens for me soon!

I'm a happy, social, crazy in a good way sort of gal, just looking for a new home of my very own. I'm busy and active and I have lots of living to do, so shelter life is definitely not for me. I am an adorable, 1.5 year old, 31 pounds of solid fun, Pit Bull Terrier mix. There is definitely lots of 'mix' in my genes, I'm sure of that. I'm still a puppy in so many ways...a wiggly, energetic, full of

happiness type of teenager aged puppy. So how did I get to Wayside? I ended up at a shelter in Emporia, KS as just a pup, before getting transferred here to Wayside. I spent a good 3 months at Wayside before being adopted but unfortunately that didn't last long. My owners moved and couldn't take me with them so it was back to Wayside. I got adopted again within a couple months but that didn't last too long either. My previous owners said I was a bit of an escape artist and would climb the 4 ft chain link fence if left alone. So here I am, thinking that third time has GOT to be the charm, right? I am a loving and sweet dog who just needs a home and family. I love to run and play but I also enjoy a good cuddle and belly rub! I still need lots of work on my basic obedience but it can be so much fun and a great way for us to bond. I've got lots of energy and would probably do better with kids over 5 because of my tendency to jump! But this is totally something we can work on together so that one day I can hang out with all the kids! I've been told that those yummy, feathery creatures I so enjoy chasing aren't actually for playing with so a home without small fuzzy things would probably best. I would love a doggie playmate but please bring them to meet me so we can make sure our play-styles match! I'm pretty spunky and rough and tumble when it comes to playing! I'm very treat motivated and eager to please! I'm waiting at Wayside Waifs so come on out and ask to meet me! Come meet me at Wayside Waifs! I'll be sitting pretty, ready with a kiss!

Hi everyone! After a couple of Weeks I am back at Wayside Waifs. And guess what?! I am already ready to embrace a new family with open paws! I would love to go on a walk with you or just have some play time together! I'm a gentle, loving, and easy to walk girl! (Did i mention I have a soft mouth!) Now I may seem a little crazy when you come to my cage but that's just me introducing myself! To help with this you can give me a treat in front of my cage or ask me to do my many tricks, such as sit, shake, down and I'm working on more!

Pssst! Guess what? I had a super interesting week partaking in a scientific study on stress and playgroups! I was filmed every day and got to do fun play groups, too! It was a good way to stay busy while I wait for my forever home but now it's over so I'm ready to go home! Need a new best buddy? Come meet me! I'll be at Wayside Waifs (they open on Wednesday at noon!) just ask to meet Freckles! I'll be waiting with a kiss!

Boy am I tired of all this rain! It does however make for fun MUD PUDDLES in the park! Looking for someone who doesn't mind getting a bit dirty? I love a good romp in the rain and sit nice and patiently for baths! Come meet me today at Wayside Waifs!
